newbro here, is it safe to transfer the majority of my portfolio into usdt overnight after an entire day of altcoin mooning? is there some chance usdt will just crash overnight?

ETH doesn't crash, it dips. You want to know why it dips? Because people swap to ETH when they want to cash out. Why does it even matter that you're down 3k? Unless of course you're holding BTC or BCH like a sped. In that case you should be checking the price every five minutes because you bought the most volatile shitcoins.
