My eBay sales are off the charts. Having a hard time keeping up with packing and shipping. Flipping on eBay is based. Making a killing just buying clearance shit from stores. Needless to say, I will be slurping this crypto dip.

Shit my eBay store is tanking from earlier this year, do you promote your listings?

>> No.52434998

christmas season. Means more that people dont spend on new shit but go for stolen shady shit

>> No.52435016

>>52434976
No I don't promote. I buy a lot of clearance from big box stores. So does everyone else. My strategy is to just sit on it until it sells. The stuff that is selling I bought like a year ago. Everyone else sold out. I am the only one left, so I get high prices to sell at. I don't participate in races to bottom.

Do you have auctions or Buy It Now?

Buy it now
>>52435328
Auctions are a thing of the past. Do buy it now. Auctions will get less than half of what you can get from buy it now.

what are you flipping exactly? Anything you can get on clearance or?

What’s the realized profit though can’t imagine you make money off small shit with these shipping prices

>Anything you can get on clearance
Pretty much. I have guidelines I made for myself now though, after learning the hard way. Off the top of my head:
>At least double my money after all fees
>Won't break in shipping (no glass)
>Won't have malfunctions that cause returns (no electronics)
>Smallish, for cheap and easy shipping and storing inventory

>> No.52435718

>>52435660
I do pretty good. I won't pick up inventory unless I can at least double my money. The big day I had today I bought a bunch of one item on clearance for $70. I sold it for $350. Someone bought 4 of them today.

Based. I used to part out classic cars on there and would get like 10k out of a 3k car I bought over the course of a year.

One more thing, do you charge full shipping that eBay estimates?

>> No.52442237

>>52434950
How much of this is profit?
What percentage of profit do you look to make on each item after shipping?

Can you give me an idea of what you look for on clearance?
I haven't had much luck sourcing from big box stores feel stuck reselling garage sale and thrift store items. Looking for better reliable source of items.

Shipping makes profit margins on a lot of stuff razor-thin. Even if some stuff is rare and theoretically valuable, it can often just sit on eBay for months and months and months unsold.

t. has rare books/comics/other items for sale online that won't move, even after dropping the prices multiple times

Frens gather round as I share some knowledge from my humble experiences
>>52441489
I make them pay shipping. However, I go into settings and make sure I pass on the savings to them so they get the best price. If it is an item I have bulk quantity of, and I think they will buy multiple, I do free shipping and bake in the shipping to the price. This is my little kikish trick to make them pay multiple for shipping even though it says free. Same thing Amazon does.
>>52442237
I make sure I at least double my money after all fees and shipping. Garage sales and thrift stores will give better margins, but I like buying things in bulk. That way I can list like 10+ items at a time per listing. Sorry, I can't give ideas. That will be your own journey fren. It will be glorious.
>>52442311
Buyers pay shipping. I only buy stuff that has a high sell through rate. Search the item, go to sold listings, and make sure it is selling many times a month. If it doesn't, I don't buy it.

I try to flip items that are all similar sized so I can use them same boxes and packaging material for everything. Make it as easy as possible for yourself so packging is fast and easy. Amazon or eBay for buying boxes.
