I snapped up some HBAR a couple years ago on binance just in case, but the process for getting it into my own wallet (so I don't get mtgox'd) was byzantine to say the least.

also, HBAR nodes are run only by approved parties, currently consisting only of large multinational corporations like LG, IBM, Google, etc

in other words it's not actually decentralized.
