that's correct. young people care about INFLATION, but the polls don't reflect it because they answer first about their student loans. well, fucking DUH, the problem with their loan isn't that they're in one, it's that they can't get out of one while paying for shit which is skyrocketing in price.
who the fuck ever got upset about BORROWING SIX FIGURES and paying it back in $1000-a-month increments during years where $1000 goes from "a paycheck" to "chump change?" absolutely nobody, not even minimum wage employees. YOU WON THAT. you already FUCKED the banks (on an individual basis anyway). you can defer student loans more than any other kind, practically endlessly, until you have substantial income.
a cash flow problem is never a leverage problem for a young person, it's the same in businesses: growth vs. value. growth companies don't give a fuck. it's always an expense issue and its always the established value companies that have a long debt schedule they have to figure out.
so students actually care about inflation, they just are totally blind to the idea that, in fact, they don't have to pay more for food and rent endlessly. they don't even know capitalism not only doesn't always do that, but that it constantly relieves that while the fed constantly makes it worse for them. they think it's baked in so they turn around and yell somewhere else.
but once they start getting some durable goods, saving up some money, building a family maybe, they'll change their tune. they'll realize they have something to defend, and what (inflation) and ((((who)))) to defend it against.
welcome to the right side of history, young guns.

Student loan forgiveness without any actual lowering of tuition cost is the most regressive policy proposal ever and the fact that it passed without much scrutiny, by dems no less, is a sign of the times.

Republicans have only lost Arizona/Georgia to purpledom. And nationally speaking, the country has been shifting Republican. Don't worry there is still a fool-proof way of ending student debt going forward:
>Step 1: Don't issue student loans

Even in europe, even in wondrous "socialist" paradise scandinavia people take on 100.000 EUR on student debt to achieve their dream of becoming pilots. This continuously escalated as fuel prices, insurance and the overall syllabus all increased the cost from about 60000 almost 2 decades ago. Meanwhile there are no shortages of people willing to sell their soul to do this job, while the job opportunities are scarce. 50 jobs for 3000 applicants, something like that. Multiple day assessment centers that you won't even be invited to unless you know the right people. It got so bad you had so-called "pay to fly" schemes. New graduates without a job were not only working for free, they were giving their employer (officially called the training organisation) 500 EUR/hour or more to work at an airline until they get experience (measured in flight hours). (Idea for Jannies maybe? Have them pay for the privilege?)

Now ask yourself: How are they affording that? First you take on 100k of debt fresh out of school and then you spend even more on "training" which is actually work. The answer is somewhere between daddy's credit card and banks giving loans like it's candy.

Was this fixed overnight? No, over time people realize that it's a shitty job choice that literally only rich kids could afford to lose money on. Suddenly you had the same employers that previously were getting paid for the privilege of hiring you paying for your training. Nearly all reputable airlines have some sort of agreement where they front the cost of training in return for your willingness to work for them.

IMHO thats how it should be. Employers who want a workforce need to pay for that training. In the meantime secure your jobmarket so the rest of the world doesn't fuck up your cheap labor supply.

The entire reason tuition is so expensive in the first place is because the government has been providing these loans.

Get government out of higher education entirely and the cost will radically decrease.
Leftists don't want this though, they just want something to complain about.

this is completely fucking different you absolute retard
farm subsidies are paid to farmers to grow MORE food, pushing down prices

student loans are given to students to artificially bid up the demand for college degrees, raising their price

It's as simple as fuck and it's mind boggling why nobody is pointing this out.
Why do you think tuition used to be so cheap before the 80s and 90s?

>But you're talking about gubment loans,
Almost all of it is government loans you absolute fucking retard. It ALWAYS was government loans.
Holy fuck this country is so doomed. Most people unironically think student loans come from evil greedy bankers or something.

https://www.forbes.com/advisor/student-loans/average-student-loan-statistics/
>Federal student loans make up the vast majority of American education debt—about 92% of all outstanding student loans is federal debt. The federal student loan portfolio currently totals more than $1.6 trillion, owed by about 43 million borrowers.

>xcept only the free mason/Rothschilds of the world will get those loans
It's incredible how brainwashed you people are. If the price of college drops dramatically, the vast majority of people wouldn't even need to take on loans, they would work summer jobs or whatever to pay for their college. This is the way it used to work before the government started propping up higher "education" for the own benefit and making all of these useless degrees.

>so you end getting india tier caste system in western education.
We already have this thanks to the system you leftist cuckolds created.

Most student loans are by the feds because private companies can't compete, that would change under what you propose. These companies would obviously use harsher collection and accreditation practices since they'd have virtually no oversight.

No point in "debating" you republitards further though since you basically admitted you want it to remain a class-based caste system. That solves your question as to why leftist don't want it, retard. We're antifascism.

>Most student loans are by the feds because private companies can't compete,
Yes, that's exactly my point. The cost has skyrocketed so much due to government providing these loans to the point that it's a bad business decision for private lenders to lend students money they won't be able to pay back.

How do you see the government creating a massive artificial increase in demand and think that it would have zero affect on prices? Are you retarded?
Do you really think some overpaid marxist cunt talking to you in a big room should cost 80 thousand fucking dollars?

>These companies would obviously use harsher collection and accreditation practices
If it were fully private, you could actually declare bankruptcy. Also most people would be more reluctant to take these loans if the terms were harsher.
More people would pay out of pocket for their tuition, which would be easier because it would be a lot cheaper.

>No point in "debating" you republitards
I'm not a republican, I'm a Libertarian.
You people are in a religious cult at this point. Even the most basic of logic is lost on you and you will continue destroying the country and working against your own economic interests. Kill yourself.

>remain a class-based caste system.

>We're antifascism.

we built up Obama For America as an independent grassroots org, it raised a huge amount of money, registered millions of voters, knocked on millions of doors, got people out to vote etc. It was supposed to be grassroots leverage against corporate Dem power

pretty much the day after the election, they turned the whole thing over to the DNC.
