I should have gone into CS but I was under the false belief in 2007 that all tech jobs would get outsourced by the time I graduated. So I went into the health field instead. It's been rewarding but a damn shame at the same time.

I'm a little bitter, dad passed away from an accident 2 years ago and I was able to use some of his life insurance funds to knock out the remaining 8k I had left. I won't lie, getting a 8k injection of capital would be really nice right now but since I did everything I was supposed to and pay off my loans like a good little goyim. I'm glad for everyone who'd get some relief, but my problem with the debt forgiveness is that it does nothing to fix the underlying problem. College is still way to expensive, There are shit degrees that are worthless but cost just the same as one that has a high return.

Without addressing the underlying problem of the cost/benefit ratio of college education, I cant feel good about having to pay for everyone education via taxes while I did everything I was supposed to (worked through school, minimized loan usage, got help from dad (rest your soul). If I'd known the debt would have been wiped away I could have used my dads life insurance funds as capital for somthing else.

I mean I could maybe get behind it if it was limited to people making less than $50k or something like that, you could make an argument for people in that income bracket truly struggling and needing a little relief, especially with the way prices of everything have gone over the last couple years.
