I don't order pizza often, but when I do, I always use a coupon code which I have saved ($9 for a large 3-topping pizza). Following the covid lockdown measures, my local Domino's has offered "curbside delivery," which I use every time and never tip. Is this socially acceptable, or am I making a mistake? My logic is that the company offers the service and this employee is being paid an hourly wage, so tips aren't necessary. Moreover, they offer the same service at McDonald's, and they don't expect a tip, either.

Why do redditors think a tip is necessary? They even recommend tipping for (legal) weed delivery, up to 20%. That's insane! There must be a precedent for this.

It's not just curbside, they try to guilt trip you into tipping even when you walk into the store and pick up at the counter. If I'm feeling generous I may tip a buck or two just because I make 6 figs and can spare the money, but 9 times out of 10 they're getting exactly zero cents.

Tipping culture has gone nuts thanks to millennials.
