Got them on ebay from a commercial vendor. 60€ for 10 coins, each 8g 625 silver, so 5g pure Ag per coin. That's barely more expensive than the cheapest 1oz coins from the dealer right now. I consider that a steal considering the memetic value. I could actually just sell them again individually for a healthy profit right now. But no way. And Comex has a good idea how much physical silver is actually leaving the vault. 99.9% of Open Interest contracts end financially settled. So long as they have enough physical silver coming in to meet the ones who want delivery they can keep the price manipulation up indefinitely.
I still think silver is best investment on the market. But I hold paper silver and buy about 100oz physical every month. I just don't think SETF and that the idea of $500/oz silver will never happen. I'd be thrilled if it hit 40.

I am honestly getting a little worried. I invest in some stocks to chase yield, and pick equities that are necessary and have large levels of underlying capital. However, I am worried that overleveraged equities will get wiped out by the bond holders. As shareholders are on the lowest rung of the totem pole, equities are probably extremely risky as the system may even have a way to indemnify themselves legally in at the behest of the shareholders on a large scale.

Silver is in such high demand right now that I could sell coins I bought just a month ago back to the vendor and break even. Any further increase in price (even just higher premiums) is profit at this point since the buyback price increases accordingly. Spot price doesn't matter at all any more.
If I sold p2p I'd have a nice 15% profit. In a month. That's crazy.

My dad just messaged me about his latest scores from his LCS. A few years ago they only paid 80% of spot price, but now they pay $2/oz over spot for generic 10 ounce bars. They still scrap the Canadian .800 they get and are happy to sell it for spot price, so he traded some bullion at 2/oz over spot for 26 minty canadian silver dollars at melt value and also got a nice 1937 gold sovereign at $414.

It boggles my mind that demand for generic bullion is so high that he can trade for 10% more weight in silver in the form of old Canadian dollars but that's how the market is right now; silver bullion is selling like hotcakes and spot price doesn't remotely reflect physical demand.

My personal opinion is that while short term manipulation is certainly rampant, long term suppression is probably not as severe as we would like to think, because the manipulators still have some healthy respect for said laws of supply and demand.

Well, the US dollar has been consitently weakening against consumer goods. It will probably weaken against other currencies only if the Fed pivots or other central banks start hiking a lot harder. That may not happen at all before the system collapses.
The Fed could easily stop inflation if they actually wanted to. They could simply increase banks' reserve requirements. That would limit the amount of dollars they could create by making new loans.
The real question is whether they could stop inflation without causing a liquidity crisis. I really don't know about that one. My guess is they could probably lower the rate of inflation, but not stop it completely, hence their 2% target. I ordered a few more silver coins from the Giants of the Ice Age series, for like 27-32 euros a couple weeks ago, along with a few more gold krugs. Otherwise some spices keep longer than others. I have a bunch of paprika and cayenne pepper dated 2025. I also have a bunch of thyme but those are dated 2023. I use a lot of these, so I'll probably finish them before they're no longer fresh.
I need to organize my spices a little better. They're sorted by date, but I'm gonna store some in sealed containers and move them to the cellar.
