I genuinely don't understand why people are freaking out about whatever Jerome Powell said today.

Can someone explain in retard terms?

He wants the economy to slow down and unemployment to go up.

He will gladly destroy millions of people's financial lives to get to his low inflation target.

Last year everybody thought 3.2% is going to be the top
Then in Sepetember it was 4.6%
Now its, until inflation is down at 2%, while the government is spending Billions.
Rate hikes are here to stay, no pivot, no dove

If replies here don't help then you should check youtube unironically. graham stephen probably did a video about it, dunno who else makes similar videos but I'm sure there are dozens of them.

also a lot of this inflation is just jewish greed -- companies jacking up prices well in excess of inflation, and then blaming it on inflation because goycattle consoomers don't know any better. the fed's tools are very crude. all the rate hikes in the world won't touch jewish price gouging.

interest rates are just one aspect. the market is likely going to rally end of week on weak payroll data and a .1 increase in unemployment

Yes, SHRINK the size of the government!
Government is a huge drain on the economy with little to show for it.
We are wasting BILLIONS of Welfare parasites and a huge bloated federal programs. For example, we do not need a department of Education since any idiot can see that the average student is no better than they were before this department started.

the Fed can shrink their budget sheet but that takes time too.

That's the point, pivot = reducing rates = inflation worse = but stock market/economy goes up

The point is, for now FED is solely focusing on reducing inflation as their mandate, therefore no pivot = rates keep increasing = stockmarket/economy tanks = until inflation is reduced.
It's the trade-off between choosing inflation and growth.

The problem is: based on the latest data, economy is resilient => inflation won't come down easily = rates need to be kept higher = crypto / stock market will be worse
This is why people are saying "infllation is sticky"
