Sometimes a second monitor can be helpful, but only sometimes. A third is just overkill. It's just a thing for autistic kids trying to feel cool or whatever. I had multiple monitors and still ended up utilizing virtual desktops instead. Now I only break out a second monitor for drawing, because it's still useful if you need a second display for references or something. But if you're just doing everyday browsing or gaming, virtual desktops are a lot better without taking up a lot of space.
