No. They plan to raise rates another 1.5% between now and next spring. They will then hold that rate as long as they have to. They said as much after their last meeting. The is no reason why they would backtrack and change course.

The outcome will be another ~COVID style fake crisis to slow down money velocity. That way they can print more $trillions, keep boomer pensions solvent, and kick the can again.

I think next it will be the "Cyber Pandemic" that they were practicing; fake cyber attacks on the financial and payment systems to create new "lockdowns" where people can't spend or do anything.

Can you please explain this for a brainlet like myself? Can't they just raise rates for everyone else but not themselves?

Economic Hydrogen bomb at the Feds AI Mainframe because it is stoopid in design.

we saw the reason two days ago with the BOE rescue of uk pension funds. Fed will keep tightening until something breaks, at which point they will leap into action to prevent another 2008-style collapse. If we're lucky, the thing that breaks will telegraph that it's breaking far enough ahead that we can go long before the fed swoops in to save the markets. If we're unlucky, it'll happen overnight at 3AM in the morning and everyone will get caught offsides. But it's coming - even the fed itself acknowledges this is their strategy - it's just a matter of when. And things are guaranteed to break long before we ease back to 2% inflation.

I hope you're holding gold because nobody will have the liquidity to cash out your shorts without a pivot/aggressive QE in the next 6-12 months. you gleeful bears seem to think this means "hurr dumb mumu gets wrecked" and not the end of modern finance

I can't tell if most of these retards are zoomcucks with memory/foresight of two weeks in either direction, trolls, or bots trying to astroturf sentiment. in any case they're appallingly shortsighted and seem to think the fed has magic powers.
