So here is the thing. We haven't even tested the Pre Covid Crash highs. The kicker is that people were calling for a top and the FED thought the Pre Covid highs were too hot and were already planning QT.

Now you will see some absolute brainlet yammer about how "THE COVID CRASH WAS A CORRECTION BLAH BLAH BLAH!" this is not true though nothing was corrected during that crash in fact something worse happened the money printers were activated. Instead of all the worthless businessed filing for bankruptcy and companies being forced to become lean and remove needless spending. All those worthless companies and worthless jobs that accomplish nothing were given a 2 year Get out of Jail free card.

We've already seen the Crypto space get slammed with it now we just need to wait for the first major liquidation to occur in the stock market. Though I should add this nugget the money printers don't go back to 2020 that was just when they had to set them to Ludicrous Speed. The money printers go all the way back to 2008.

We haven't even seen the shoe drop this was all just a return to normal. People really don't comprehend how bad this is going to be and there won't be any money printers to bail us out.

If you want to be strict about ROI going to school at all past high school is a waste of time. Plumber, electrician, welder, and HVAC do not require college degrees and can easily branch into small business ownership that can't be outsourced.
Then there is always real estate. Real estate is where all the various stupid as shit millionaires come from because the Fed basically backstops their entire occupation at every conceivable level. Then you don't even need to graduate high school.

Hey anons. Let's say you were 22 and had 178k in the bank. That's me. I'm currently unemployed and I spend $1600 a month on rent. I dropped all of my college courses this semester even though I only have 8 classes until I graduate (English major). I think I'm done with college. I'm honestly just done with society in general. I'm tired, bros. I don't even want a job. I might just go buy a cuckshed for $80k in rural Montana and a beater for like $3k. Fuck the game. IDK bros.

sounds like you could just use a break. nobody is going to stop you from bumming out for a while, but remember, you can't retire on 178k at 22. its just not mathematically possible. maybe you can relax for a month or two, maybe a quarter, but you have to face the fact that at some point that job gap is going to be on your resume and you WILL need an income stream at some point

honestly with that kind of money, your best investment is in yourself at that age. take risks. start a business. buy a business and turn it around. be self-employed if you dont want to be a wagie, although waging at first is good to get the lay of the land. god i wish i was as young as you with that kind of money

you play your cards right, you can be a millionaire sooner than you think. but folding and checking out of society so early for so long is not wise. you have the time to double down, grab life by the horns, and ride the tiger for decades

if you can pull off job hopping then more power to you, then for your specific circumstances a 401k match may not be ideal. but this doesn't mean you should neglect the benefits of retirement accounts even if you don't plan on retirement for a long long time

take the tax deductible aspect of traditional IRAs for example, which you can talk to a tax guy about. or if you want to be a roth chad, remember that roth gains are tax free if you withdraw after 59 and a half, after a 5 year account opening period. you can withdraw the principal anytime too, but you gotta work with a tax guy for early withdrawal penalties and qualified exceptions

yes its extra work, but IRAs aretn tied to an employer and you can rollover 401ks to consolidate. all im saying is you seem smart and know what you're doing, but don't be stupid about your money long term

That's not true at all. The overwhelming majority of tradies make pennies and can never evolve from there, not to mention continuous cost of operation and the inability to find work that is enough to feed them outside the US. Moreover, anything that pays even remotely implies you'll ruin your body by 40, while everything else pays about as well as mcd while also being much harsher on the body. Sure you can start your own shop, but you can also start your own shop by getting an MBA and never stepping a foot on a job site yourself.
Compare this to, say, a computer science degree, where you get to make 200k fully remote from anywhere in the world.
Objectively speaking, undergrad is worth it, IF you choose the right degree (finance, cs, business, arguably med, and a few others, that's about it; don't fall for engineering memes or biomed shit).

don't take it to heart, because at 22, even if you lose 100k in failed biz ventures, hopefully you learned something along the way to take what money you still have to keep going and double, triple, quadruple capital over the years. i also wouldn't narrow your vision to just one industry either, keep an eye open while you're young, and spot opportunities to exploit

>That's not true at all. The overwhelming majority of tradies make pennies and can never evolve from there
Median salary (2020):
Plumber (56000)
Welder (43190)
HVAC (48000)
Electrician (59100)
Keep in mind this is the base salary for the entry level job and is averaged across the US. Electricians, for example, reach 80-90000 once they become journeymen and can easily breach 6 figures if they take on apprentices. That is before you talk about having your own business.
And that is the point. 2 years out of high school and you are already working. By the time you would finish college you are already accumulating money and skills. And you aren't paying tuition. The MBA adds 1-2 years and the cost of the MBA as a sunk component. And the MBAs worth anything typically want to see real world experience anyway so add even more time onto that.
The hours are also generally much better since those careers are always in high demand.
Like the numbers are just really good there. And these are occupations where you can live nearly anywhere. From bumfuck forest, alabama to san francisco.
>Compare this to, say, a computer science degree, where you get to make 200k fully remote from anywhere in the world.
You don't need the degree. Just entry level experience. No one cares after your first job because the churn is so high. And it is pretty easy to get that first intro job if you just do graphics design or small business website development.
>Try talking to a plumber or welder instead of just parroting what (((influencers))) and /pol/tards spout.
I don't understand where this is coming from. I HAVE talked to them and they love the work and flexibility.
I have been looking at that kind of data off and on for years. Lifetime hours adjusted pay for most doctors, for example, is worse than teachers.

consdiering we're 25% down on S&P there isn't a ton left we can go down without it becoming a full blown 2008 crash. historic bear markets are like 21% to 33%

Pretty much, yes. Lots of suicides, homelessness abound, social services get overwhelmed and become unable to actually perform their normal activities. Crime goes up very quickly as well, shanty towns come up, of course employment vanishes, and this also affects GDP and the economy as a whole (many companies end up bankrupt because nobody can afford their stuff anymore).
Of course, how large the impact is depends on how deep the recession/depression is, and how long it lasts. Also other characteristics like inflation.

all >>51728715 means is that banks put this much money in the fed overnight facilities which HAS no matter what to give them back that money the next day, with interest equal to the fed fund rate (3% as of right now). Checked and yeah. It's kinda sad, and reminds me of the supervillain in Watchemen who started dying of cancer and just couldn't actually pose a threat anymore.
Plenty of people in the West were unironically rooting for Russia to Gulf War Ukraine and show what a modern military can do in this century, but they came out with last era's toys and soldiers that didn't know what the fuck they were supposed to do.

At this point they're going to get bought out or some shit. Their market cap is 105 billion. A few more months of dump and some big corporation could buy them for like 65-75 billion.

It's true though. I've ridden positions from -90% to +3x.
There's no better feeling than watching a position you'd written off entirely miraculously turn around and provide your some longterm gains.

The thing is if that's the state of the Russian military than imagine how fucked China's is. I was one of those people that was excited at the prospect of seeing the might of the Russian military but was pretty disappointed by what I saw. Even their stupid smart phones were giving away their troop positions, didn't someone at least consider this could happen?

Reverse Repo is stealth QT. It effectively locks away money out of the economy.

Notice M2 less RRP in pic related (teal line), it started the instant core CPI spiked. That was their reaction and why it was obvious the market was going to struggle. That is effectively shrinking the money supply mid last year.

Money supply changes tend to operate on a lag in their effect, but flat growth or even shrinking is very very bearish in a debt ponzi fiat system like ours. I will note also that RRP is still growing and M2 is still shrinking.

You want to know when the pivot is coming? RRP stops growing, or shrinks. That's the signal the Fed is turning the bear market off.

Vti won't give you the same gains as the other 3. There's times in the market where small caps will outperform large caps and vice versa. Same goes for mid cap stocks

> Russia is getting brutally attritioned fighting a NATO proxy
russia literally excels at proxy wars.
particularly if they’re on the home front, looking at napoleon and WWII.

they’ve already taken crimea and georgia or some other middle east shithole country.

the west is isolating them until eventually they’re like north korea in terms of independence from the west, but much bigger

“but much bigger” is why it’s different

I would say finish your degree since you only have 8 months left. Even a degree is better than nothing. Don't expect to be lucky for your whole life. Don't assume you can turn that into millions. If it was that easy, no one would working. My father had always told me not to be dependent on one way of making money.
