The overwhelming majority of tradies make pennies and can never evolve from there, not to mention continuous cost of operation and the inability to find work that is enough to feed them outside the US. Moreover, anything that pays even remotely implies you'll ruin your body by 40, while everything else pays about as well as mcd while also being much harsher on the body. Keep in mind this is the base salary for the entry level job and is averaged across the US. Electricians, for example, reach 80-90000 once they become journeymen and can easily breach 6 figures if they take on apprentices. That is before you talk about having your own business.
And that is the point. 2 years out of high school and you are already working. By the time you would finish college you are already accumulating money and skills. And you aren't paying tuition. The MBA adds 1-2 years and the cost of the MBA as a sunk component. And the MBAs worth anything typically want to see real world experience anyway so add even more time onto that.
The hours are also generally much better since those careers are always in high demand.
Like the numbers are just really good there. And these are occupations where you can live nearly anywhere. From bumfuck forest, alabama to san francisco.
