What the fuck is going on with Chainlink...
It pumps to $8 MULTIPLE times before smartcon and immediately loses ALL volume and people sell every single time BTC pumps now.
It's unironically fucking over isn't it.
Between this and the Eth merge I've never been so demoralized with crypto in my entire life.

They apparently wont let it go past $8 no matter what. As the price and volume kept increasing before and during smartcon volume went through the fucking roof to dump it as hard as possible. There was significant and consistant price growth and it's been relentlessly stepped on. Which parties exactly are doing this and by what specific mechanisms seems to be less known now than before. They perhaps have enormous resource, maybe very large bitcoin and ethereum holdings, automated trading platforms. Its worthy of threads of its own for investigation

>apophenia: the post
define "significant" "and "consistent" you bagholding moron
it just did an anemic textbook "buy the rumor, sell the news" PnD
>volume went through the roof
lmao what?? it didn't even reach a billion in coinbase + binance + kraken combined, calm the fuck down
bottom line is, if there ever was actual buying pressure they could send it straight to $30 with like half a million dollars on a single exchange due to how illiquid and paper thin the order books are
tl;dr go outside

im starting to think sergey really is trying to keep the price down. The way the team handled day two of smartcon by playing pre recorded vods on youtube then having live chats be released on a slow drip is fucked up

They want us to kill ourselves.

In all seriousness though - one thing this will show you, ESPECIALLY if you look at Twitter traction - the platforms that gain the most are the ones that enable people to develop *on* and create projects/scams. So they need you to buy the token, in order to buy their scam vs project.

Compare this to LINK: No retail user needs to buy LINK to buy into products that build with LINK. LINK is "just" a blockchain agnostic backend infrastructure product. In fact, it is against project's best interests to talk about LINK because it would only increase the cost of their services. If I made a SOL NFT project, I would go #SOL #SOLANA #NFT etc.

If i use Chainlink as an oracle solution, I say quietly: "Yeah we use LINK oracles." No need to tag $LINK holders. We don't get hype for projects because we hold LINK, we're hyped to hold LINK. Does this make sense? I would be more concise but i'm feeling low energy rn, probably because I haven't made money in years. But my eyes were really opened when I actually looked up the stats and saw how little twitter engagement LINK gets compared to so many dogshit L1s.

No idea how XRP memed itself into its spot though - you must also remember there is high level jewry going on with some of these projects, ppl just pumping tons of money into it to keep up appearances (LINK doesn't do this).

You said you wanted to be early to something, God gave you this gift. Monkey paw style

I had my eye on Link's volume during the first day of smartcon. Volume was around 1.5-2 billion which is around half of Link's total marketcap. High volume doesn't necessarily mean price exploding but it's interesting to note.
