I've never heard of it but from the name I can tell you with 99% confidence that it's for swapping tokens on different chains with someone in a way where either the operation goes through on both chains (you both get your swapped tokens), or the operation fails on both chains (you both get your tokens back). Right now since there's no communication between chains it can be left in an inconsistent state where one person got their token but the other didn't, for example.

No I didn't lmfao, I simply made clear that there is a relation between the timeline for staking's release and node profitability. I didn't say anything more than that.

Notice how the greentext literally says "if feeds were profitable then staking would be live right now".

>>51718650
>kek thats what you're understanding?
You LITERALLY said "if feeds were profitable then staking would be live right now".

>>51718646
It was obviously a milestone, yes.
Notice that even if Sergey literally dropped staking right then and there at the time of the January 1 announcement, the argument already falls apart since nodes were already profitable prior to that.

I came back to the board thinking that made a mistake selling last year. The facts is that Chainlink continues as in 2017, nice literature but no product. We have in front of us hard years in equities, so being in liquidity is the smartest thing.

if they had a working product and weren't subsidizing everything it would be live now. instead we got lawyer speak in the beginning of the year about steaking being released this year( no one was expecting it to be the last day of the year).
they have been working on this for fiver years nine months and still dont have an actual product delivered thats profitable. Again if they way the network is right now and it was profitable staking would be live right now, not a beta version.

You also said "if nodes were profitable then they would have staking instead of being subsidized".
Clearly showing that you think node income is derived from staking.

>>51718713
It's very simple: the anon I was arguing with claimed that if nodes were profitable then they would have staking (instead of being subsidized).
As if nodes cannot be profitable without staking being released.

>if they had a working product and weren't subsidizing everything it would be live now

for the retrieval of data from off-chain data feeds, formatting of data into blockchain
