I think it was a push in the right direction. Blockchains enable all kinds of cool things, but they aren’t feasible with out Oracles. Schmidt placed him on a pedestal, but it’s up to Sergey himself to acknowledge it for what it is. This will be fascinating to witness over the next few years.

I spent 2 weeks helping the effort to defend against the Celsius and Nexo shorts this year.

It's still bullish for the project long term, but I am not sure how to plan for the near future and what to expect.

The two points of view are important.
Sergey's mindset allows him to become the partner of every group and to gain market share quickly as no one likes a monopolistic group abusing its power.
However the practical point of view of Eric is very important and what makes the difference between a successful company and a monolith owning the world.
