I'm 32, work in cybersec and know a little about lots of IT/programming related stuff. I don't have any certs but I make ~US$30k/yr, which is pretty good fo my country, but I'm kinda bored of my job. I've worked since I was 12 y.o. (though I NEET'd for a long time), studied a bit of accounting when I was in HS and I've learned many other things in my life.
I have ~$50k in savings, but I suck at managing money, because I'm mostly economically/financially ignorant (was born poor to a single mother, only a few years ago got a well paid job). What should I do with myself and my money? Should I try starting some side businesses? I want to try new things, but I'm scared. I've had lots of business ideas, but never tried any of them, and most are probably just dumb shit. Any advice on how to become less ignorant, how to try new things without much risk and how to use my current knowledge to my advantage?

just in case you didn't get it: I want to educate myself. I want to learn about shit and do stuff by myself.
I don't really trust other people, and I'm not willing to give my money to some random "fund manager" faggot

the hardest part of making it is sacking up, going all-in on a venture, burning through your savings while piling up debt for the first year or two, and coming out wagmi on the other side because failure was never an option.

I've tried. the result was: I lost money while the price of the stocks I bought went up. I've got paper hands and all that shit. guess I learned something though, but things aren't fun right now.

a great thing about computers is that operating costs are usually very low, the most expensive part is employees. I guess could program a lot of the basic stuff by myself if I wanted to try making some webapp or mobile app. but that's only one side of the equation... I don't have a lot of experience programming complex applications.
also, cybersec is trendy today, but I have no fucking clue of what to improve or what to offer to companies in this specific field.

Get a CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE
If you have the skill get the ccie, if not settle for one of the others.

Get a Cissp.

Work on your resume. No matter how good or decent you think it is. Take the time and effort to make it better. Make a LinkedIn and start applying for higher paying jobs. Maybe even try applying for remote jobs in other countries. You could probably also do other stuff besides networking amd security since you know how to code.

Now that your salary is massively increased. Just start buying stocks while they're cheap. Maybe don't buy all at once unless something big happens that causes a huge crash like covid. Maybe stick to etfs.

Maybe take a little and throw it at shit coins
