mixed feelings, in my perspective is better than chess overall (if you're into board games) but harder to play. The biggest complain between newbies is that because the few rules of the game and how big the board is make it pretty hard to catch up with the game mechanics, you can see people playing for a whole month and still don't know how to count properly when the game end or know if a group is dead or not.

Another thing to know if that you're a loser with no life (like me) and you obviously play mental games to cope with life it would be waaaay harder to improve compared with let's say chess. Educational content is dogshit, outdated and beyond retarded with explanations like "this move is good because i'm a professional so it's obviously the right move".

Go games are quite long in time and it's really hard to play for less than 1 hour per game unless you play with 10 seconds per move which is really not recommended.

It's a really beautiful game that I played for years but I just can't deal with all the bullshit that I could go for hours, so I took the midwit route and started playing chess.
