Another 100 "basis points" (faggot term btw) and I think that's where the fed will stop. investment banks send banks to physically talk to the CEO when doing their research and the SEC turns a blind eye. Executives allegedly aren't telling them nonpublic information yet the banks somehow find these visits useful and keep funding them. You going into a store and asking a regular employee is a nothingburger

A key thing to understand about insider trading is that it is about theft. The company gives information to the CEO because he needs it to run the business. If he uses that info to trade, he is in a sense stealing from the shareholders, because the information does not belong to him, it belongs to the shareholders. If you go out and observe the truck count at a factory, you can trade on that all you want, because the information was not given to you (or your friend) for another purpose, you obtained it on your own, its all yours.

I view CNPC employees as Jewish representatives of the federal reserve who get the official word of whatever they want to push onto the goys passed down through the chain of command and then the information gets trickled to the goys in a controlled, calculated manor. Then I like watching the goy employees like picrel take Cramer's word as gospel (because it is to the goy employees) meanwhile none of them question why they have to fill in for their Jewish coworkers who get the day off for shemitah festivities. None of them can make the connection. It's sad really.

the crime happens if an employee benefits from an information that doesnt belong to them
for example analysts working on merger deals are often warned not to trade on that info or speak to friends about it, because they have a fiduciary duty
everything is an extension of that, for example if the merger analyst tells his wife's father to buy, the sec would be interested in that (but may not always notice)
if you pay their CFO for the quarterly, the CFO is definitely committing a crime, while youre probably an accessory or something, idk, the point is that it gets murkier the farther you are from the benefitting employee
if you fish the quarterly preprint out of the trash, youre probably not insider trading, but you may be trespassing

>how do you define "belongs to you"
The information does not belong to you if it was given to you in order to do your job. The employee is not allowed to take the company's truck for his dropshipping side gig. He is also not allowed to take the company's financial statements for his trading side gig. Every other insider trading thing is downstream of that - for example the employee is also not allowed to give the statements to his wife so she can insider trade for him.

>afaik if an employee of a company tells someone mni, and that person tells you, and you trade on it, all 3 of you can be prosecuted, even if the employee didn't make money from it / benefit in any way
Hard cases make for bad law, and hard cases dont always win in prosecution. But anyway thats a straightforward extension of the wife situation.

>eg. I could overhear in a bar some information that is nonpublic, and if I trade on it, I could be prosecuted (if found out somehow)
No, you can't.

>isn't trading on material nonpublic information a crime, regardless of whether the employee benefits
The whole point of markets is to expose material nonpublic information by allowing people to make money trading it. What's the demand for widgets right now? Very important material nonpublic information, if you know it, please trade on it and optimize the economy.

Say you want to stop losing money every week in the markets. How do you achieve this?

WHEN BUYING

See the little picture at the top of the window when you're looking at a stock or ETF? Looks like a zigzag line going from left to right, like a series of high mountains and deep valleys. Try to buy at the "bottom" of the hills, not the top.

WHEN SELLING

At the bottom of the page, there will be some little numbers, one is the share price, one is how many dollars you're up or down, the other is the percentage you're up or down. If the number is red, DO NOT SELL. And the further down it is, the more important it is NOT TO SELL even if you really want to. When you sell in the red, you lose money! Only sell in the green.

>It's more complic-

No. No it isn't.

Based on my months of research time-tested economic liquidity cycle flows, I have determined that the bottom will consolidate on next summer:

1) Inflation caused by money printing causes the central banks to increase interest rates to slow the economy down and to promote a healthier economy.

2) Rising central bank interest rates put pressure on treasury bonds to increase return yields in order to make them more attractive to investors.

3) Increased bond yields compete with financial liquidity, causing equities to fall.

4) As equities begin falling, a flight to safety causes the DXY and VIX to rise, creating additional uncertainty and fear in the equities market.

5) This "demand destruction system" implemented by central bankers causes the debt market to shrink, as the cost to borrow rises - people flock to pay off debts and move to less riskier investments.

The end product is a healthier economy with a better income/debt ratio, banks have improved balance sheets, the government creates new demand for bonds, stocks are priced attractively and demand will have new room to grow.

Negatory --- the only thing I see potentially happening to save bond yields is housing is sold off by institutions as a risk off play to buy bonds once real yields get high enough. So smg. I’m 26, ordinary pleb tier wagie, single, live with parents. I thought I was gonna make it because I have about 2 million in the stock market to inherit, but it’s privately managed (currently about 65% msft with some other stuff including amzn and hd) in a trust until 2045. And now that the 30 year bear market is confirmed, I kinda have nothing going for me. How do i cope with this? It was keeping me going to know I was superior to other no-trust plebs. Plus my job is a financial advisor and I genuinely can’t recommend people hold stocks after 2025, so I feel like it’s all over. How do you make money in a Great Depression?
