I agree with most of what you say like how there is no secret glowie here antagonising against silver, except you have massively misread the upside and downside risk to silver.
1 bil oz is a bullshit figure you pulled out of your ass.
Are you denying the coomex drain is happening?
Because it is, retard. It fucking obviously is.
And not just that but the price is tanking simultaneously.
That tells me the smart money is buying the fuck out of it now while nigger price manipulators like JPM still have control because one day soon that control is going to slip with the economy how it is and there won't be a chance to buy it at manipulated prices again.
Even if you're right which you're not, I'm still close to my buy-in, I've lost NOTHING by hedging against a collapse with silver..

Also crypto and shit is still falling so in general its gonna be a bit slower as everyone with weak hands and wills internalize the problem and attack everything else so shit just slows down.

Thinking out loud, but would like discusison.
Precious metals borne of a labor crisis? Eg. Hypothetically, the state, tied to the bank, thus tied to the collective and corporate profiteering favors foreign labor and convoluted foreign trade, which changes how currency circulates, which means that the currency loses home value for those that can't compete in the new market: ie. people lose jobs at car factory but still participate in economy = currency becomes tied to fast spending rather than cumulative circulation based upon tradeable assets = inflation. If you can compete in the new market, you can make money with the new speculative methods, (onlyfans, crypto, 'work from home emarketing' etc) which increases inflation, but also paves way for new kinds of jobs. So the whole question is if people will take to the new markets or not. If they don't, system reconsolidation. But system reconsolidation has always perpetuated the system. So essentially, the house always wins and the best option is to develop a new skillset, a way of playing the house. So it's basically the same kind of problem that an unskilled person has now. So let me ask you: do you all expect to be future employers and what kind of jobs will you be managing, roughly speaking?

Platinum investor here.
Platinum at this point is essentially a bet on fuel cell tech and shorting Russia and South Africa. I think it is a pretty good bet IF the global economy recovers quickly from the almost inevitable shitstorm about to engulf it. But I think silver and gold both have better prospects in a broader range of economic scenarios. Both silver and gold are historical repositories of wealth in hard times. Both have been monetary metals from prehistory. Both have industrial uses.

I think platinum is very cool and has a place in a diverse PM portfolio. But I would not suggest people buy it until they are well-settled in silver and gold. People who insult you while they shill their alternative should be ignored.

The teeny-tiny market cap on platinum should have everyone licking their chops over the very real possibility of Rhodium style movements if large capital inflows start looking for new homes after fleeing the bond & stock market. I agree with you that silver and gold are where people should start, but definitely have some skin in the game when it comes to some of these other metals. Back in 2009 platinum was 2x the price of gold. Palladium was 1/5th the price of gold. I would love to get an ounce of palladium but think 100oz of silver will be the better at this point as palladium has already started its movement higher in the PM bull market.

I don't recognize the mark but will look around, my hunch is it's a vintage Mexican or southwestern Indian piece but I could be way off. I understand that if you're *only* looking for cheap PMs then blindly roving around thrift stores and estate/garage sales is often not worth the time, but I have a good nose for antiques, appliances, books, tools and collectibles and will buy all sorts of stuff to flip or keep in my hoard of valuable or useful items, I can't overstress the importance of keeping an eye open for anything and everything that might be a lucrative flip, and if you're uncertain you can just pull out your phone and search eBay to see what completed items sell for. I posted this antique anvil earlier (babby 40lb one on top of my big Chad anvil), a desirable $250 piece bought for $10 Saturday morning. They had no silver or gold at all but I got 2 books worth $40, some tools to use and the iron chunkyboi for $22 total. If I was only looking for PMs I would have wasted the 45 minutes and $1 worth of gas. Good luck hunting and keep an open mind fren!

I'm not so sure. The gains to be made on silver will be high enough that your best bet is stacking for quantity.
Silver Eagles are the lever being used to prop up the physical price via premiums, so the banks can keep the spot price low in the derivative market. The physical supply of metals is so low that all silver will command a premium the second the need to escape financial assets really sinks into the psyche of the masses. 5 ounces of generic will always be better than 3 ounces of ASEs, imo. If silver does eventually moon shot, the number of ounces you lost buying premium silver could add up to a small fortune depending on how much you have.
That is not to say that you should have NO eagles or NO junk silver. You should have some of all of it. But after a certain point you should be stacking for quantity. Imagine $100 silver, back of the envelope math shows that 5generic could be $500 or 3ASEs could be $300. Are you so sure that you can recover 2 whole ounces worth of premium from ASEs? What if silver hits $200, or even $1000? The bet on ASEs at these ridiculous prices gets worse and worse. (Depending on the actual price you can acquire ASEs, of course. If you get a good deal on them then but them up for $1-2 premium over the generic. My LCS adds on like $8-9 over the generic premium which is absurd.)

Samesies. I am thinking about vacuuming up some cheapies on various mining stocks that I used to own. If they can survive this crash in pricing and are able to stay in business (Their product being PMs is fantastic capital to secure financing from royalty companies) then they should be great speculations. It doesn't hurt to have a bit in the stock market now - it's relatively low.
My typical copypasta to answer "what should I buy" is more like, "Here are some options to consider."
- For generic bars with no design, watch the markups over spot: premiums (added charges) go up for smaller pieces. When selling, your buyer may insist on spot price.
- When a new series of artful or themed bullion (especially coins) comes out, the first of the series are usually missed by later collectors. They will pay high premiums to fill in the series. Ponder the potential for series popularity: generic and/or cringeworthy-themed series have higher failure rates.
- Interesting coins cost least while they're still being minted. Once the mintage stops and dealers run out of stock the prices jump, then rise more slowly but still faster than generic silver. Maples, Eagles, Wieners, Britannias, etc. are all nice but boring. The mint may add a privy to make them more collectible (creating a series) and gin up the price. Buy stuff that changes overall designs from year to year: Somali elephants, Canadian Wildlife, Australian kookaburras or koalas, island nations' series, etc. These become series.
- If you buy pieces that appeal to your sense of art, taste, and interests, they will still feel good even if the price or value of the PM goes nowhere. Caveat: if you go to sell, it's harder to part with them.
- Some beautiful generics are priced comically high (Germanias, e.g.) - they don't follow the market trends as readily, and usually garner highest resale price only for a few years after the mintage. The drawback: dealers may categorize these as "generic" and price them as generic when buying them from you.
- If free shipping is offered, buy enough to take advantage of that. Although it's shipping (not directly PM), it's an added premium.
- Keep a spreadsheet of your purchases!!! You should track profit/loss over time. It's quite revealing.

Updooted, please enjoy the gold kind stranger!

Also please remember that only ASEs are real silver and able to be authenticated by sight alone.

Everything else is fake silver and will need to be chopped in half and analyzed extensively before a generous but naive dealer might condescend to offer at the absolute maximum perhaps 80% of spot price for it.

Also remember that well-established secondary market values for anything besides ASEs are fake, it's impossible for anyone to sell anything but ASEs directly to another stacker for over 80% of spot.

Maybe someone can actually make a case against the Eagle. Here is the case for it: In 2020, the premium was barely $1 higher than bargain bin generic. That was the time to load up. If you were a dumb/cheap piece of shit, and actually believe “silver is silver”, you missed out on a lot of gains. No worries, the premiums will continue to increase. Why are eagle premiums outpacing all other coins and rounds? Firstly, they are extremely desired due to its liquidity. Everyone in the US stacks eagles. What do rich people buy to safeguard their wealth? Silver and gold eagles. The US mint is having sourcing and production issues for the last 2 years. This will only continue as the silver market tightens. The eagle is always the first product sold out. Just like it 2020. The only place to buy eagles will probably be the private market where you will see insane premiums. Do you like to “stack weight”. Sure, we all do. But the type of weight you stack matters. Spend the extra on the eagles and keep the weight constant. Practically, it’s best to diversify your stack. But eagles should make a significant portion of it. That’s how you maximize gains.

I am not totally sure. The Fed will no doubt step in and continue to inflate which could lower bond yields. But given the severity of what is going on, it feels like we are dangling from a cut rope, that only has but one single strand holding us up. The Fed is out of ammo, GME short squeeze could be catastrophic, bond yields are rising and the whole economy will stall out if credit contracts. We're like a heroin junky who will die of withdrawal if we stop, and the only smart play seems to be to literally get out of the ponzi scheme.
Full disclosure, I am roughly 50%/50% in stocks and PMs. I keep some risk in the game to acquire some dividends (probably 50% of my stocks are GME, 40%PM 10% other dividend paying large caps that will probably survive the turmoil). I look at my portfolio daily for things to trim so I can afford a another large PM purchase.
I do want exposure to stocks for the income, and the safety of something like a melt-up.
I am fortunate to be in the position to where if I fuck up, I am not losing life-altering sums of money. If I had hundreds of thousands of dollars I would be far more weighted on the PM train in some form or fashion.
The central banks are not stupid. They may damn well be enacting some egalitarian plans here. If the financial system allows the ownership to become too "top-heavy", then you suffer from too many people procuring resources without actually working. They may need to destroy the 1%, and the best thing for the economy is going to be the destruction of the bond market, and along with it so goes the stock and real estate market. With no "bubble" economy popping up in its wake. It could take 15-20 years for things to really pick back up given the extent of the malinvestment from the last 70 years of Breton Woods. We don't know.
Given all of this. I recommend keeping your head to the ground. Invest in the fundamentals. PMs, farming, mining, production, manufacturing.

Sure, it is conspiratorial, but that is exactly what I would be doing if I had a billion dollars that I wanted to protect. There are millions of millionaires who are losing 10%+ of their purchasing power, and they are no idiots.
The important thing for the plebs to do is to trust their gut. PM price crash is all a head-fake.

Thank you.
As political charged as economics is concerned, the Austrian School has some great insights into the fundamentals and inner workings of an economy that can help keep your grounded as an investor. As impressive as all of the charts, data, analysis are, all of that are a function of the financial sector that can only OVERLAY an economy. And given the nature of finance deriving from exponential functions, it's own self destruction is an inevitability. The ability of the country/economy/banking system to procure an exponential amount of resources is impossible, and I am not sure that everyone who invests really grasps or understands the environment we are in.
People unironically invest in TSLA not understanding that it cannot exist without government subsidy from a bankrupt government. People unironically invest in crypto currencies in a time of near universal bankruptcy/shortfall of resources. All measurements of account are going to be fundamentally revalued once we come to terms with what we can all afford to pay for as taxpayers, as providing liquidity in lieu of capital investments have a saturation point and have long since been returning any positive ROI. The U.S. GDP has not expanded since 1983 if you net-out the increases in debt since that time. Never ending, exponential increases in debt are nothing short of disaster, and the "service economy" with a citizenry that can't come up with $2000 within a single week is no reason to be bullish.
The fundamentals: The currency became a plaything of the banks. It has been all but ruined, and we are simply waiting for that truth to manifest itself, hence why we all opt out to own the physical capital. Ready and waiting to buy back in once the pieces fall where they may.

I have heard a little bit about it. It makes sense, but it is also the precursor for every participant to throw their hands up and say "fuck it!" You can't just keep throwing good money after bad, and an ever-strengthening dollar vacuuming up all of your capital is one of those black-swan events where everyone starts transacting in something else.
It's an interesting thought, that the dollar system can be destroyed by strength instead of weakness. It all alludes to some serious disconnect and the best play is to have one foot solidly outside of the ponzi and in PMs. I don't have any significant insights on it though.

I've got a question: the yearly production of copper is round about 20.000.000 t and silver is 24.000 t. Copper costs round about 7,22 USD spot per kilo and silver costs 590 USD spot per kilo. (For relation: yearly gold production is 3.000 t and the price per kilo 52.400 USD). But the electrical conductivity of silver is only slightly better than copper. So silver will increase in value further only when either hyperinflation hits or silver is used as monetary metal again, right?

I'm not convince silver is going to "moon." Even if hyperinflation hits, it's price will increase only in the currencies of the countries hit - and in the past, that was restricted to one country due to mismanagement.
As for supply, silver isn't on the USGS list of "critical minerals." If anyone non-partisan would have authority to say so, it'd be them.
Right now silver is pretty low, but it has been $5 less in the last decade - which isn't really long ago.
Upshot - stack what you like - what gives you little sense of awe when you see it. You don't have to put yourself at financial risk to hoard it.

The 3% increase in conductivity is invaluable to electronic components.
The silver market as it stands is a function of the paper derivatives that trade hand between 8-16 large institutional investors. They see to it that industry is able to secure their needs, silver is available for investment demand, etc. However, between industrial and investment demand, we are consuming more silver than we mine on any given year and this has been going on for a while now. Free market supply/demand should be having speculators flooding into the market given that sustained yearly deficits will always lead to an increase in price. The paper markets deny speculators their profit so they often skip over this sector, and currently the mining sector is dangerously starved for capital relative to the shere magnitude of importance these mines have in sustaining civilization.
The banking sector is playing financial games, and they are masking the fact that they have created an unprecedented amount of debt and currency relative to the global GDP output. Pent up purchasing power is stored in paper asssets that have zero chance of being repaid in full. The Bond market in the U.S. is twice the size of the U.S. GDP. It's physically impossible to procure that many goods and services to pay back the bonds short of diluting the currency to pay the nominal values.
Silver will increase in value when the "paper claims" begin to sell off and investors/market participants search for safe havens to store their money. Trillions will move from paper assets (bonds and stocks and real estate) and come crashing into physical goods (commodities). But not until the BOND MARKET COLLAPSES. We are seeing a sell off as we speak, and only the Fed is able to step in and be a buyer of last resort. We are currently seeing 4% 10 year yield. This is an uncontrolled sell-off.

>> No.51665005

>>51664792
I think we do know. Ultimately the bond market needs to be written off and the "real economy" is going to have to actualize the losses and an extreme shortage of resources will occur.
What will happen is everyone is sitting at the poker table, and we are all going to show our hands, and EVERYONE is sitting on a pile of aces. But not everyone will be able to secure as much of the pot as they think they are entitled to. People are sitting on multi million dollar portfolios of all of the top stocks. People are sitting on million dollar real estate. People own a plethora of service based businesses that depend on cheap imports, cheap labor, cheap energy.
Once the money flows into commodities and the banks collapse we'll be looking at if businesses can even afford to keep the lights on. If no one can secure a loan, what good is it to own a $2M luxury home? It takes LEVERAGE to prop all of these things up. Fake values will be written off. And ultimately, having your assets in your own possession will be.. well... worth its weight in gold.

>> No.51665151

The important thing to take away from this that we are collectively all going to be materially poorer than we were before. No more free money where you just buy stocks and houses and they just double in price with zero effort. That "system" has run its course and is now defunct. Exponential functions always turn asymptotic and in the real world they are forcible halted by things such as war, famine, shortage of space and resources. Hence why you need your money out of the banking system.
Modern banking is basically a system to prevent bank runs. The banks create the shortage by issuing too many notes. And it is during a bank-run that the last man in line loses out. Modern banking has a built-in feature of spreading out the losses not to the last-man but to ALL DOLLAR HOLDERS. That is how they can sustain themselves, however this time no one can survive the inflation/losses because they are too large. Twice as large as the GDP. It is insurmountable the amount of wealth people think they have coming to them. It's not real. Fake.

These unhinged faggots along with the anime faggots are the exact type the glowies use as shooters/fall guys, they used one to shoot up the Dark Knight Premier which also just happened to be an anti nwo film which portrayed the Joker (the globalists) and how he used people with mental issues to carry out crimes for him.

Of course the cia then went and used that very tactic to try and stop people from going to see it which is why all the media referred to it as the dark knight shooting and not the name of the area it happened in which is usually what they call their false flags.

The issue with housing is the leverage. Borrowed money, mortgages etc. That is what is propping up the price of real estate at unsustainable levels. As interest rates rise, the value of housing will fall.
A small house in a reasonable area will lose some value due to shaving off the leverage. The more luxurious the house, the more you are exposed to the losses posed by the leverage.
That is what is expected to happen based on fundamentals. However, remember that hedge funds, central banks, foreign investors, governments all want the values propped up and they may take actions to keep the price moving higher despite everything I just discussed.
At the end of the day, a house is a consumer good sitting on top of some land. It makes little sense for a depreciating asset to double or quadruple in price. No more than driving a new car off the lot and selling it for 4x the sticker price. The leverage is the key. Banks were using it as a source of loans to rake in interest and fees and the prices all need to come down. They will decline in real terms, too. Even in some hyper-inflation that allows you to pay off your house for seemingly nothing, the money you put into the mortgage will lose relative if it was invested elsewhere such as silver.
In German hyperinflation people were buying massive plots of land for relatively little gold. Such a comparison makes no sense to us today, but I think we will see some shade/form of that when things return to a sound revaluation.
With all that said, owning real estate will do better than owning a portfolio of bonds and even most stocks. (Again, massive stores of leverage). PMs and commodities, productive businesses, assets such as bulldozers, cranes, tractors etc will do very well as they can perform work and secure an income. People with no productive capacity will be fucked, such as people whose jobs simply make no sense in a post-leverage world.

If you can get a good rate and you're happy with the place (condition, location, taxes, surrounding land, water source, waste management are the big ones), then I'd say land is a very good choice. As for inflation/loan rates, my first house was an FHA loan (great rate) at 9.5%. My current rate is 2.125%. So 6% isn't fantastic, but it could be worse and you can always lock in a better rate if it goes down again. But there's so much more you can *do* with land.
