What the FUCK is this problem? I already have a dog, am I supposed to bring that to the office with me? I CAN'T fucking go back.

Micheal "Big Bussy" Burry is wrong again. Wfh isn't going anywhere for the majority of those who are wfh. Companies that try to force employees back to the office will bleed talent to their competitors who don't.

He's talking how tech companies are cutting fat, and just use wfh as a scapegoat.

>> No.51638739

This. Companies are moving towards layoffs. Pushing the motivated wfh out while herding the complacent cattle back to the office is occurring just to give a reason to lay people off. It makes no sense though. A lot of wfh talent will simply say "fuck off" and move to a solid wfh position. Maybe that is what the corporations want, to motivate people to leave first so layoffs aren't as big in numbers. Whatever the case it is short sighted for companies to lose talent like this.

If you WFH and actually do something valuable for the company, you aren't going to lose your job unless management is retarded. . . So still a pretty good chance actually.

Anyways, there is a white collar bubble, but I don't think it's going to burst relatively quickly. I think a lot of "white collar" companies are so bloated that it will take time to figure out who they can cut and who they can't. Some companies will do it faster, some will make mistakes, some won't even need to trim.

I have inside information about a large commercial bank in Canada regarding WFH. If you're someone with leverage, that is someone who can turn around a find a new job in less than a week, well then you can work from home all you want. Or come into the office for one day a week, or two, whatever you want.
If you're a peon, get back into your cage wagie.
