They aren't going to lose. Average SE pensioner loves them. They bought their council house on the cheap thanks to Thatcher, what little money they saved they put into a rental property, the NHS covers all their medical bills and now their care is fully funded by the taxpayer too. As landlords they can do as they like without rent caps or penalties for mismanagement. Their houses rise in price every year, and when they don't the Tories add more debt to the pile to bail them out. They retired early and their defined benefit pension schemes are protected and bailed out when needed, and their state pension goes up consistently due to the triple lock. Tories flood the country with immigrants to keep their services, goods and food cheap. They've voted consistently Tory and been rewarded handsomely for it.

The Tories know exactly what they're doing and their voting base supports them for it. Consider that the bulk of the population is made up of these older voters. Younger people are either immigrants or clustered in single locations like University campuses and cities with jobs, while the old vote is evenly spread out. Combined this means the grey vite is the deciding vote. This is a boomer country run for their benefit, you're just a farm animal.

Meh, we've had low growth and productivity too long. The whole economy for the past two decades has just been goosing the numbers through increasing asset prices, to fake growth, whilst productivity falls.
>low interest
>borrow to buy assets
>pushes the price of assets up
>borrow more against increased assets
>repeat
>let in more immigrants to drive down wages and create more demand for assets

How long can that pyramid scheme last. Time to move to higher interest and wipe out some over-leveraged boomers. And cut restrictions to get real growth, you can't take a shit in this country without an appropriate license. The thing we are best at is creating committees, you can't just name the local town hall, you first need to create a "town hall naming committee". Time to crack on now chaps.

Poor people were poor anyway, over immigration meant that there was absurd competition for even the most down-syndrome tier job, and interest rates of zero meant owning anything was impossible.

Seems fair given the people hitting the 45% threshold make up a third of all income tax revenue. With the next third followed by people paying the 40% rate. And the next third paid by people above median wage. Of course it isn't exact thirds - there's like 5% left which is paid by your 'ordinary person' who is totally carrying their own weight and isn't at all a net loss in terms of public service expenditure.

Will any government, ever, ever, and I mean ever, do the slightest amount of budget trimming or cutting lol. I don't think you fags understand how wasteful national bureaucracy is.

Example here: since the introduction of the Department of Education here we have spent billions upon billions, probably over a trillion up to this point, and our test scores have not only not improved whatsoever, but declined somewhat. They're just a Ministry of Truth full of faggot grifters.

>> No.51640885

National level governments like to distort the truth and make you think your large national level tax payments are going towards real things like fire, police, and schools. That's false. Your local taxes pay for those. Your national taxes pay for bureaucrats, grifters, and their welfare plantation. You could chop their budget in half and would hardly notice a difference in your life, other than getting a ton of your own money back.
