intel is set to grow 10% yoy in revenue at least, it's too difficult to guess the profit margins of the fabs but I can imagine the scaling and reinvestment must be nice
their dc&ai and ccg business isn't changing much, that's like 80% of their revenue so it's not changing all that much, they're just horizontally scaling into fabs so any analysis should be additive

there will be less cars being made, less computers being made, less new orders for all goods

due to covid supply chain issues, countries invested heavily in semiconductor production; new plants, new fabs, etc - companies during covid were fearful of running out of supply, they didn't want to have to halt production for a month until they could get their order of semiconductors - so they double or triple ordered semis
now those orders will be gone, they'll have their inventory still from their double / triple orders, and the semi companies will have expanded production, supply chain issues will have cleared up
there will be more supply than ever, with less than demand than ever
