It's a famous statue, inspired by this ancient statue of Zeus, one of the Seven Wonders. It's not an uncommon pose either.

The Washington statue was completed in 1840, while that image of Baphomet originated from Dogme et Rituel de la Haute Magie, a book in 1856. If anything the statue inspired the image.

Didn't the templars worship baphomet? The crusades happened between 1095 and 1291 before being arrested in 1307 for a bunch of things of which included worshipping idols? People say they were falsely accused but I doubt it.
Also wasn't Washington a freemason? Because they worship baphomet and think they're templars

There might be some other connections, just pointing out the statue and that particular image of Baphomet probably aren't related directly. I actually thought the Baphomet image was older than that, was surprised it was so recent. Because like you said Baphomet is way older.

Washington was indeed a mason, so I wouldn't be surprised if they included some masonic symbolism in art of him.

Oh I get it
"Baphomet, the Goat of Mendes, entered the historical record in 1098 in a letter from Crusader Anselm Ribemont, who recalled:

“As the next day dawned, they called loudly upon Baphometh; and we prayed silently in our hearts to God, then we attacked and forced all of them outside the city walls.” "

The first mention of Baphomet was in 1098 but there's no depiction of him from that era.
The pose Zeus is making looks similar but I don't think it's the same exact one, I'll try to research this a little bit more because I remember seeing a lot of statues and paintings and pictures of important people throughout history making the same pose as baphomet.

Thank you anon for the explanations
