The United states actually didn't truly begin as a sovereign government until 1792 with the mintage of coins. IMO there's no such thing (unless you sold a kidney to fund it or something stupid like that), unlike stocks it's a hard asset that has intrinsic value regardless of what any made-up money systems will do. true, i spent about 20k on metals and about 20 k on miners. miners lost out big as we all know, so that i wish i had back but again, nobody predicted the FED would start fucking us with high interest rates the way they did wrecking the entire sector.
