It's a UK Robinhood basically.

They're doing a crowd raise: https://freetrade.io/crowdfunding-2022

Their last funding round gave an implied valuation of about 650m, but they are doing a convertible loan note this time, so debt will convert to shares at 20% discount to a future price.

Only thing is, they're still loss making, and obviously private VCs weren't interested, hence the public round.

no, it's absolute dogshit, they don't support options which is the main appeal of robinhood, they also have shitty spreads, and execute your trades with a delay

all of my friends including me use interactive brokers who have are 1000x better, support options, bonds, fractional shares, premarket trading, etc. their mobile app is decent as well

Thanks.

I have an account, but yeah it's definitely aimed at beginners. I think UK investors are too retarded for options, and we're more heavily regulated here re complex products to normies.

IB are probably the best, maybe Trading212 a close second, but their UI is absolute dogshit.
Also IB won't let me trade ETF's unless I jump though hoops.

That was the problem I had with IB, they make you jump through hoops to trade anything complex, and my account size isn't large enough.
