I drive around the Hispanic neighborhoods and collect all the broken lawnmowers they leave on the curb for the trash company to pick up. I know a guy who operated a little food cart/stand. He said during a holiday or festival of some sort he'd always make more in a day than he normally would in a month otherwise. So a little food cart or food stand that was only open on holidays or during festivals is a massive cash cow. For some things you probably have to have a permit though, but I think something like a peddler's license is cheap to get and renew if it's not a full blown food truck.
