So I was on my phone at work earlier today and I couldn't comment due to IP range bans, but can any DRS maxi explain how MOASS happens if all our brokerage shares get sold either super low or at cost? Shorts need to close, if this happens, then shorts are closed. Once shorts are closed (phantom shares stop existing and only DRS'd shares exist from this point on) then how do you sell your real shares that aren't demanded to be closed for millions of dollar? The way I always understood it to be, was that there is legally no difference between a real share and a fake share being closed out during the buy out in order to close the shorts. That guarantees that only during the period in which fake shares exist, any share can theoretically be sold for millions. But one thing to me has always remained a constant. NO MATTER WHAT, A REAL SHARE CANNOT BE SOLD FOR MORE MONEY THAN THE LAST FAKE SHARE THAT THE GETS CLOSED BECAUSE ALL OBLIGATIONS THE HEDGE FUND HAD IS NOW FINISHED. Thus the price immediately plummets. So basically if all our shares in the brokerages are sold at a very low price point without our permission because "they belong to the brokerage and not the account holder" than why would you ever think that a DRS'd share hits millions of dollars when a brokerage share won't in your fantasy?
