Still not convinced that the Tudor Beasts will be a good silver starting point because of the Panther situation (it is the first but Royal mint says the Lion is the first + they made no Panther tubes).
Why so messy?
Should I just stick to Btitannias? (Then again YouTube says these 'melt' after a while "milky surface").

some are milky sure, but others are fine. they're bullion coins, it doesn't affect resale value. And Royal Mint are hardly guilty of being the only mint pumping out milk.

well, they're old British currency, so yeh? Inter-war british currency was 50% silver. Pre WW1 they were 92.5% but the cost of the Great War meant they had to debase them.
Sadly older currency now has numisfaggot value, and you can't get it for cheap (unless you find some old Granny selling off her dead husband's coin collection at a boot sale)

Question, what's to stop someone from just giving their kids as much stuff while they're still alive as possible? Like obviously the will needs to come in play if you just randomly die of a stroke, but if I'm bad enough that I obviously have only about a month or so left to live what's stopping me from giving stuff away discretely?
>>51407806
In the Communist manifesto pretty sure Marx wanted TOTAL inheritance tax, as in everything goes when you die. That's really bullshit because why work or save at all if I can't try to send my kids off better than me? Isn't that literally the point of life itself, to ensure your progeny succeeds and has your DNA thrive into generations ahead? Of course the powers that be love that shit because then it's nearly impossible to build up generational wealth.

The powers that be are only going to be interested if you have a ton of inheritance money you're hiding from them. If you drip fed exchanges that are off the books the authorities will be non the wiser, unless someone grasses you in.

Regarding maples they seem pretty great, have several tubes of them and while I haven't poked through all of them the ones I've looked at haven't had any issues. Picked up a nice Krug and Wiener as well from a small coin shop a month or 2 back, those were both on display though so they would have chosen ones without any visible milkspots. I think it shows that more gold goes into bullion than silver does. Something like 9 times as much silver has been mined than gold, yet stacking about 4:3 silver:gold is the stacker ratio. It also shows there's a shitload more silver out there that hasn't been turned into bullion. Assuming the return on bullion would be higher to processors than industry (people pay more for 50% jewelry and bullion combined), it means there just isn't the demand for silver bullion. If/when Comex decides it's time to restock, I'd guess the stuff will be available. Industry used gold far more sparingly?
I'm banking that the future is brighter for gold - it's in the best interests for countries that have gold to see its price go up, thus bolstering their fiat value.

>> No.51416398

Don't let it get you down. Right now the ratio is basicly 1/90 but the ratio in the crust is 1/16-1/19. Thats not including shit we shoot in to space and sits in land fills almost forever lost. Roughly $400 in silver today is a oz of gold without the manipulation that is going on.

Is there something mentally wrong with the people at Royal Mint? I look at similar historical coins, same years and mint locations and they have them for £600 where I can get them elsewhere still respectable stores at £380.
Why such huge difference? As far as I can see their 'stats' are very close, can't see why the double premium..

I see, but the silver that's not used up in bullion goes to industry I thought. Lots of it we can't get back without even more costly methods if its not lost to us. I know we are mining silver at a deficit right now more is bought up by industry than is mined so i think silver will become a bit more scares down the road. I don't think the price of gold has really mattered much to most countries since the petro dollar bullshit but that's looking uneasy and gold is turning back up on the menu, I do agree the future for both looks much better than where they currently are sitting though lol.

I'll confess, I don't know. If true, then certainly silver will should goits targeted up. It should be going up now. But the element isn't on the USGS critical list, so that implies to me that the price just isn't high enough to put more effort into its extraction. It's still mostly sourced as a byproduct of other mining efforts. If industry demands and prices go up, so too will extraction effort.

It definitely should be going up but I think that's partially because of the price manipulation going on right now. Way more paper silver out there than actual silver (same for gold) but I don't think quite to the extent silver is being manipulated. it's mined for about 10$ an oz. Not rare, 1 BILLION oz are mined each year (hurr durr comex 50 mill only gogogo!!)

Soon you will witness true despair when the great dump comes. The one dump to rule them all.

You bought the shiny rocks because you hoped society would continue on as normal... However you failed to discern the fact that we're in an energy crisis, depression, Go Green(R) movement, population bust, and a potential civil war + collapse all at the same time. Maybe you noticed but you were hoping that it wasn't the case so you just bought anyway, ready for when things return to normal!!
Things are not returning to normal. Soon, Gas will be 10$/gal, shipping your rocks will cost 50$, and manufacturing of all your favorite products(even those that use silver) will be brought to a halt.

What has more value in a collapsed society? Silver coins or batteries, ammo, food, optics, guns, tools? You guys fail to realize that the entire value of silver relies on the fragile highly-advanced industrial usage. The type of industry that is the first to go when things go bad. This creates a real risk that you won't acknowledge just because you hope things don't go that way.

Not only that but every single one of those "ape"-fuckers on reddit is waiting to sell. Go look, they're all fed up with waiting and want to cash out. This shit is a cursed investment, and has been for years, even in normal times.

Wasn't silver used as money well before the modern industrial age? I'm not following this logic here.
>Not only that but every single one of those "ape"-fuckers on reddit is waiting to sell.
This is categorically false. They are the retarded HODL types. What will happen is that silver will be sold from weak hands to strong hands, and many strong hands will HODL silver until it reaches triple or quadruple digits. Not only that, but many PM enthusiasts will merely watch the G/S ratio like a hawk if and when silver has its day under the sun, and convert silver into gold at the opportune moment.
>This shit is a cursed investment, and has been for years, even in normal times.
Your entire post implies that our entire age and civilization are cursed, and that we might as well turn into fatalists such as yourself. You do not have a crystal ball. You do not know that the apocalypse is nigh. Furthermore, civilization is unlikely to collapse globally, and if it does happen, it'll happen slowly over the course of many generations. Lads, went to my bank the other day and they have these inside atm machines were you can deposit cash without having to go to a teller, there was 4 machines, 1 had a sign up saying no cash only cheques accepted, went to a different machine to put cash in, it kept spitting the card out and saying transaction failed when i selected the deposit cash option, before this happened i had been watching people in front of me having the same problem having to walk away from one machine to another.

These parasites aren't even hiding lads, they are so blatantly trying to force their digital hell hole dystopian system and all the dumb npc's that were in that bank having to go from machine to machine just to deposit cash weren't seeing it, they still dont know or give a shit whats going on right now, i now see why these parasite bankers are as brazen as they are.

Pauladium, rhodium, and platinum depend on industrial use for their demand. If industry is set back 200 years (something I consider unlikely) those metals will not be in demand. If industrial use recovers, so will the demand for those metals.
