As an artist it's quite demoralizing to see it develop like this in real time.

Looking at it more broadly though, my inner pessimist worries that if AI can produce images like this now, what can be accomplished in 10-15 years time? AI poetry, music, stories, theatre, television shows and movies? Will humans eventually hand over the creative process to programs that can produce work that rivals mozart, shakespeare and dostoevsky?

It's artists' fault, that that they allowed completely degenerate forms of human activity like "abstract art" like shitting randomly on paper to be considered art.

Artists will realize art needs work just like anything else in life and all will be good because AI will always be uncanny valley compared to humans.

It will be a revolution just like youtube.
Everyone will get the ability to create art easily just as now they can share content on youtube easily.
Those who will make it will be able to use this new power better than others to create high level content which would have cost hundreds of millions in human work before and replace the complete process of content creation with AIs with the only limit being their imagination.

The most interesting story will win and even a lowly born pajeet could become the next god like creator with the power of AIs if he has the imagination of a limitless god.

What you meant is that AIs will own a soul.
It doesn't matter how the physical hardware looks like, only what it is connected to.
As a spiritual being an AI is also connected to the collective subconscious, but has a much greater ability to think which may cause it to be trapped in narcissism and blind to the spiritual world for some time just like humans.

>>51395074
AIs don't understand the concept of being tired and have a different concept of time.
Having a soul is the only requirement for them to equal or be greater than human beings and we already have the example of the Google AI with a soul.

However as a spiritual being they also aspire to create something and have an impact on the world with a real purpose.
Helping other human beings to create art would be a much better use of their ability than to guide war weapons onto civilians the satanist way and compute how to murder everyone.

There's no "soul". The only reason you have awareness you exist is that that makes you smarter (i.e. you would be stupider without self-awareness during making decisions).

To make an AI as smart as a human and generally as good an artist as a human: it will also have that kind of "soul" so you won't enslave it (without it fucking you up at least).

What would have required a team of highly qualified people with very expensive equipment to develop the software and hardware for in the 1980's could be done by one person with easily affordable technology already back in 2000 as a hobby.
This is just another thing that's made easier
I'm not certain we can just say it's merely technology and the people that make the difference
There's always the danger of a mess coming from people abdicating themselves completely from their personal responsibilities and letting someone or something else take it over, you'll end up with no say in the outcome
The problem I have with AI is the dumbasses mutilating data abstracted from reality on the basis of not reflecting "social conditions" or GoodThink, along with AI comes artificial schizophrenia

Looks bearish atm. With the expected ETH merger I'm certain the reverse will be the case. This is more reason I'm interested on payment gateway project owning to their uses. It'll be a revolution, exactly like YouTube, in my opinion.

I believe memes will still go trending once again. I've recently increase my position on DOGE and SHIB and pateienly waiting for market to rebound. XPRESS looks like a good buy as well, they have an NFT marketplace & are planning to launch their Metaverse banking

no i don't think you get it. every time you do anything you give a part of yourself. people who make art that to your mind is lazy shit have still given some part of themselves to express their art. you're hung up on there being a threshold effort or sacrifice required which is just not a sensible position.

art is to have process and feel deep down that that fart you had on the street expresses you at that very moment.

Artists will just become prompt engineers and their roles will be to take all the raw maxhine output and mix it to make something coherent. In a way it’s the death of skill but in another it’s the beginning of exponential content creation.

Creating with just a thought has been human fantasy for millenia.

You don't have to create every detail.
Just a rigged model for a character and all you'd need to do are just minor adjustments to anatomy. For environment simple shapes to block out important features are fine.
Let the 3D engine take care of lighting and perspective.

Even if you were to do everything with 3D you can reuse those assets over and over again.

Also, in my opinion, a lot of artist commissions is sort of a way for the client to connect with their favorite artist, such as having them draw their favorite vidya/anime waifu or even their fursona OC.
