Think of it as a vibration or s sound wave.
The beginning snap back from a rubber band creates the largest rebound... similar in a sound wav file on your computer. The initial few peaks are the highest after the first big peak because its rebounding with the most energy. As time goes on the rebound becomes duller and duller until tly get back to flat baseline.
It's the easiest way to visualize this. So yes. hodl band might be the next peak
