Pods would be pretty comfy unironically. why haven't there been any investors to build a big block of homes with pods similar to the size of pic related? just need a small bathroom/kitchenette.
If they can build a bunch of these in LA and rent them out for $500/ea i don't see how money can't be made. plus all the incels/college kids can find cheap housing.

>> No.51315808

They do it already but rent it for $1500 each
Also cheap housing would just attract the worst of the worst. You don’t want to live around people who pay $500/mo for rent. You really don’t.

Two beds, but seating only for one person. No TV. No kitchen. No space for storage. What am I missing here?

Same. I have a 2 room apartment but I'm sitting in the kitchen most of the time I'm awake. All that space is more of a liability than an asset

the other can sit on the toilet and phonepost
TV is literally not needed when all that shit is accessible from your phone/computer these days.
Kitchen? just grab a bag of bugs.
Storage? You will own nothing.

I would. Granted they all must absolutely have luxurious and expansive parks/recreation right outside these pod stacks.
I don't need much, give me nutrient paste and this living space for free and I have no complaints, if I wanted more luxury I'd have to work of course.
These rooms being small they can use better materials, soundproofing is a must. Guarantee those and these are an excellent solution to housing people in dense centers, if done right it with trains connecting all the important centers we could have a good baseline for young humans to build their foundation off of.
These things should only ever be a foundation free for all, with room to grow and buy better if you desire.

yea, exactly. i spend 95% of the time in my room. the bottom floor can have a coffee shop/convenience store at least.
>>51317638
the difference is that i think these type of meme pods should be available vs forcing others to live this lifestyle. of course i want land in the future.
>>51317714
>with room to grow and buy better if you desire
yes, it would be nice to have the option. perhaps it would only be feasible if it was in an area where cars aren't a necessity. if tenants had to park there cars somewhere there would be way too many cars relative to the size of the pod complex

$500/months is too much for these. At that price you should at least get a studio.

renting a room is more expensive in LA, so $500 for one of these is better than that.

You would need communal bathrooms, and Americans are alreadt terrible at public order. They shoot each other over trash.
