For NFTs that mint ON entrepot, Toniq creates/manages the canister. in the canisters that they make for people, they add in a 1% fee (on top of the creator royalty fee) on every NFT transaction that goes directly to entrepot.

In rare instances (Ludo's stuff, Pods, etc), the canisters are created by outside parties, and entrepot simply adds support for trading of that NFT on the website.

So, what the rumor is, is that toniq saw how much volume pods were pulling on entrepot, and told distrikt that if they wanted pods to continue to be tradable there, distrikt needed to add the 1% entrepot fee in themselves, and when distrikt refused to do so, toniq threw a fit and removed support for pods
