It's still very easy to make 6 figures, you just have to be willing to hop after 1-2 years.

The industry is very competitive because they flooded it with bachelor degree holders. This means companies have the pick of the litter for entry positions and can pay whatever they want. What they don't tell you is that there is still a massive shortage at the early-mid and on level so it's very easy to be paid competitively at that point.
