How did the state manage to change the crystalized value of labor from shiny metals that had to be dug out of the ground and refined to digits on a screen that get accessed from a cheap plastic keycard?
I hate credit/debit cards so much bros, even paper cash at least has the benefits of being completely private and needing no central server/client to function.

The discussion was already had several threads back. I'm not going to get into it beyond this post.

Essentially, the meme:
>In God We Trust
has been altered to:
>In Rocks We Trust

The context of the meme has the subject of the phrase being the singular point of trust that guides us towards making good, righteous spiritual decisions. I won't buy something that espouses gold and silver as that singular point of faith. Maybe it's autism, but I'm entitled to my opinion, and I know some others feel similarly. It's not quite as bad as the pony-coin putting 'In Mares We Thrust', but it's the same idea. It's a less-extreme perversion of the original intent of the phrase where it's hijacking the idea of placing our unified utmost faith in God. It just doesn't sit well with me, and for that reason, I'm out.

I suspect a PF is more like our "401K," where an employer contributes. An IRA is under complete personal control and contributions are usually after taxes and deposited by the individual. So you could continue to contribute to the IRA regardless of employment status.
That said, we can usually roll over our 401Ks into IRAs as well.
Tapping into retirement accounts is only reasonable for unhealthy folks who don't expect to live long anyway.
But investing in PMs for gains is ill-advised.

I don't want to rely on my government and expect them to be competent and give me decent returns. Also 2500USD will not amount to any kind of retirement fund. On the other hand, I do expect silver to go to the moon. Silver seems like an under valued asset right now, once it reaches the peak, I'll have to find other asset classes to invest in. Thanks anon, someone has to tell pms for what it is. It might not be the perfect investment strategy all the time, it does seem like a decent investment right now IMO.

Gamble or not, an underpriced asset is a great place to park your capital when everything else is overpriced. Silver is literally best in class on multiple fronts. If gold and platinum groups can maintain thousand dollar per ounce pricing than silver can easily 10x from here. No-problem.
I take one look at the absurdity of something like Rhodium jumping from 16k-30k per ounce and it makes my head spin. To think silver shouldn't be many multiples higher is to rely on normalcy bias. The bull case for silver is boomer-rock solid(lol), with only the machinations of the banking/finance sector standing in its way.

The price of gold/silver is a function of economic treaty. The prices are managed where we agree to keep the prices at a certain level contingent upon foreign nations accepting our debts/dollars.
However, that is essentially a price control and it causes distortions in supply/demand. Hence in the pursuit of controlling price, the supply is dwindling.
These things cannot be sustained indefinitely. Even if they can be managed on multi-generational timeframes, they always break, given the exponential nature of the debt games they play.

Paper receipt derivatives is what is keeping the price of metals down. Well then you would say to me "Great, just let the derivative system crash". The central bank and elites will never let this happen, the whole thing is a game of chicken and will keep on doing what they are doing because they control the bullion market price itself, which is what you measure its value at. Even if the derivatives crashed the western governments will just rob everyone of their metals. Those extra IRS agents are basically the bandits of the state and they're in a much better position of beating you at a game of attrition than letting silver shoot to the moon and free the plebs from the fiat slavery system.

Not sure exactly. Bretton woods was the original and it was altered when Nixon closed the gold window. Basically we all agree to keep our currencies floating within a range against each other, and central banks buy/sell their currencies to maintain these ranges. Gold ABSOLUTELY is managed in this same regard.

You have some funny ideas. Bankruptcy is a matter of Federal Law administered by the US government. The US government isn't subject to its own bankruptcy laws. If the US government defaults on its debt, it is just tough shit for the lenders. They have no recourse under any bankruptcy law. And who exactly do you think would make the USA sell its assets? Yes, a massive default will temporarily destroy the US credit rating. But many former customers of US bonds are leaving the market anyway - China being the main example. And the recent weaponizing of foreign dollar reserves has accelerated that movement. So the shock to the world is less of a risk daily.

So a default is one possibility. The other possibility is paying off the debt with inflated currency. That is just a default under another name and will have the same results on the US credit rating since creditors will be screwed just the same. But again the creditors have no recourse. They just eat it.

It will be one or the other - failure to make payments or making payments with vastly discounted currency. Take you pick.

Gold is absolutely political. When America is dumping dollars onto the world they can't allow the gold price to just be casually rocketing higher. It's not a surprise to me that PMs are performing so poorly given the fiscal/monetary situation we are in. It's literal smoke and mirrors.

Some of those silver coins have the green ick disease on them from being kept in capsules or containers with pvc. You need to let them sit in an acetone bath overnight to kill it off. That green will eat through your silver and ruin your dad's coins. Acetone is completely safe for silver coins and will kill off any organic material and that green ick disease. It's the older capsules that used pvc so it's not surprising that your dad may have stored them in it, and it's just now being seen.

just bought my first silver eagle, leaf, and britania. I know that the premium is insane on eagles but I just wanted 1 as my first coin. I'll probably stack leafs or something going forward. My goal ATM is to buy 250oz of silver and 5oz of gold per year.

How do you secure your hoard as it grows?
Bank vault means jews control it.
Multiple hiding locations inside?
Dummy safe?

It's interesting that some mints are producing millions of coins per year. That's a lot of product/demand for a supposedly """irrelevant""" currency.

Who is buying all these coins? Is it all going into the hands of private collectors or is globohomo slurping them up too?

How long do I have to stack until societal collapse? 2030?

How much of a stack is needed for 1000 acres of farmland, a harem of 10 wives, and 20+ children?

Also what is the general consesus here of the best silver YouTuber? I've been watching silver dragon for some beginner videos. Is he a good source?

Gold is prettier, seems to hold its worth better, and has more clout. But with silver I can now spend 200 bucks and have a big silver bar like some kind of old west robber or a pirate.
>>51199197
I can't believe those numbers but I'd certainly like that to happen one day. I'd have enough to go buy some land in the middle of nowhere and only see other human beings once a month.
I just wonder how that'd shape the collecting side of silver. A lot of silver coins made are trash, so you'll have like a pickle rick worth $2500. And then classic coins like Morgan dollars would be worth 1900 dollars so they'd basically be unobtainium.
Not to mention gold too. Even a shitty 1/10 ounce coin would be worth a used car. People would have to buy silver and gold by the gram.

Genuinely confused by your post. What do "we know isn't going to happen?" The US Federal government isn't going to go bankrupt? (They're already completely insolvent without a dollar printer.) Or they won't sell off their assets like they "have to?" (Not sure who would make them sell assets. Other countries could start wars over it, but they probably still wouldn't get paid back, except in highly devalued currency.) Also, its not like all the cash the US Federal government is borrowing is coming from wealth stored in other countries. Most of it is just dollars created out of thin air when the loan is made.

Your choice of coins and reluctance to buy silver suggests you're a brit who is subject to a punitive tax on silver. So it's no surprise that you're advocating against it. But outside of the UK, it makes a lot of sense to buy silver right now. The only reason I'm not taking advantage of this latest dip is that I already reached my silver goal (2500 oz) and don't really have much space left for more.

>>51196498
I don't believe most stackers are only buying silver. Everyone has their gold:silver ratio, mine happens to be 50:1, and yeah I'm looking forward to get a herd of krugerrands once the price of gold dips more and all my funds become available.
Copper might be useful, but buying it at the best price can be tricky. Best way is to get lucky and stumble into old US pennies and scrap metal. Buying copper from dealers is the worst way.

You're missing the point. I'm saying the elite will not want to default because they won't be able to leech off their fiat system no one wants to use. Also as much as a con the fiat system is, its advantage is its exchange flexibility efficiency. Rug pulling this fiat system would completely crush America's economic efficiency and thus growth as well as global supremacy. There will be no end to the debt slavery system of metal derivatives and debt dollar receipts unless it is outlawed, they will just keep pumping in more and more like they have been doing for decades and if they get desperate they will just rob the people of their metals again. I find the idea of silver mooning and will fuck the fed to be a massive pipe dream. You have to actually terminate it from the federal level itself. Good luck with that.

Balance stack towards more gold than silver so it's easier to hide once you've accumulated enough. Get a good safe that's bolted to the ground, hidden where it won't be found. And most of importantly: tell no one you are into metals or anything.

Private collectors, poor and ultra rich alike. I doubt institutions bother, they probably stick to paper trading.

They know this, so they already have their replacement system (Central Bank Digital Currencies) ready to go, jiat waiting for the right time to immplement it. Nah, I'm not really believing that meme where a mercury dime buys you some sex fantasy. Plus I'm getting too old to really give a shit about that. My goal is simply to preserve what little I've managed to save over the years, and since silver is "on sale" lately, I loaded up on it to get the best bang for my buck. There's no sense in missing a big sale on purpose.
Quite frankly I didn't much enjoy buying all this silver, because I had to do it so quickly, and jump through a bunch of hoops for various reasons that I don't want to get into. It would have been much nicer if this could have been a relaxing hobby that I cultivate over the course of decades, searching for and trading rare and interesting coins, and trying to complete various collections. But there's simply no time left for that, so I did what I had to in order to secure my small savings (which probably will end up going to my brothers or nephews later on someday).

The fed is trying to pretend that the capital markets need to tighten their belts and the fed won't continue to buy up all of the shitty debt-paper in order to keep interest rates down. The financial markets are just going to collapse if the fed stops for even a nano second. This is all bluster because the fed needs to talk a big game for the sake of optics. PMs are down because we are in the end game of inflation. Wallstreet needs to pass the buck onto YOU. They want you and I to eat another serving of inflation without emptying our bank accounts, 401ks etc for safe keeping. This process is going to take time, and the longer we all sit and simmer in this shit the better off they will be.

It's my favorite of all the common silver bullion coins, and has the advantage of no lizard queen. Also the theme itself resonates with me considerably, given the current world situation. So I went all in on these coins, got a monster box, some 1 kg's and 5 kg's. It also helps that they were one of the cheaper options.
I don't plan to buy more of them after this year, so it doesn't matter if the design is static.
I'm kinda tempted to get one of their 50,000 Dram gold coins though, ngl. But I just don't like the idea of gold you have to keep in capsules.

OK, I will reply again: the "God" in the "In God we trust" is not the Christian god, it's just a "Supreme Being". The faith in a "Supreme Being" is required in order to become a Mason.
I mean, it should be obvious when you look at the other Mason symbols on the dollar notes: the pyramid, the All-Seeing eye, "Novus ordo seclorum".

It's a desperate attempt to make normies think they're "losing money" on their "investment" and mass-dump silver back onto the market, thereby lessening the strain on the Comex. It won't work for stackers though, because we understand that the spot price is being manipulated to hades and back, and that silver is not an "investment", it's money. Real money. No amount of tamping the spot price will take away the value of real money.

Plain old bars without a face value are too expensive in europe, so 1 kg coins are a good alternative. Only problem is many of those are collector-oriented (kookaburra, etc.) and priced as such. But the Noah's Arks I bought were reasonable, and actually priced better per oz than the 10 oz coins.

If you have a lot of silver, you can afford to wait it out. But if you don't I would get my hands on what you can. I was one of those idiots who wanted to expand my stack back in 2021 silver squeeze when silver was over $30 an ounce. $200 for 6 ounces of generic was retard tier use of my money. The pricing now is about as safe/risk free as it is going to get.
The risk to the downside is next to nothing at this point.

Silber all the way.
Look at all the talmudic shenanigans the jews are pulling on a daily basis now, it's becoming beyond ridiculous....
https://www.reddit.com/r/Wallstreetsilver/comments/x2flpf/bofa_empties_their_stack_selling_26_million_oz_of/

When 4 out of 6 largest silver miners have their extraction costs above $19/oz and the spot is $17.70, you know there is something deeply fucking wrong going on.
Like, what's even the point of going this low? It can't simply be the kikes trying to humiliate us/show us who is in charge.
They know by now that no matter the price we will continue to slurp as the good autists we are.

And i don't think it's to scare the plebs away. The ones willing to buy silver now do it because they are on a sacred mission to get rid of their paper trash. Not because they hope to see a +5% on a weekly chart. We aren't degenerate gamblers, we are soldiers on a mission of self-preservation.

No, me think they are dumping it so low to prepare for cash settlements once the CME Group and LBMA change their delivery policies (i.e : no more deliveries allowed). Probably will happen once we reach a critically low reserve of bullion left in the coomex's vaults.

I'm starting to get nervous here, guys.
Do anyone here have any good ideas for some long-term inexpensive storage solutions with my home to keep my stack inside of?
It's getting to the point were keeping the +$10k worth of precious metals that I've been accumulating over the years under my mattress doesn't make me feel comfortable anymore.

Any tips?

Never underestimate how ignorant people can be. You can take a seemingly infinite amount of precautions and explain things an infinite number of times and yet you'll still end up with
>sorry honey, I didn't notice
It's probably a good idea to have a small stack of Canadian or Mexican Junk Silver just so you'll have recognizeable fractional coins that can't be mistakenly spent at Face Value so you'll still have something should the worst ever come to pass.
