Good luck with that. Long term it's gambling though and still over 90% of options expire worthless. Unless you're day trading the options you're exposing yourself to exorbitant risk and going against the odds.
>I never hold till expiration so all that Greek faggotry could mean dick to me
Sounds like you're a gambler. What do you do when your position is down 30% the next morning? Do you hold? Do you sell? Statistically your position will keep bleeding even if it doesn't move because you're long vol and theta. Options also have this momentum factor meaning an unexpected move either way results in the option being priced aggressively one way or another almost instantly. When your position is down 50% you have to have a 200% rally to recover.

As I said, gambling. If by playing the Greeks is “autistic” you mean smart then yes. You have to put the statistics on your side to win long term. Just hedge. With directional positions that aren’t short Vega and theta, I.e. day trading futures I’m scalping and out in seconds or minutes. Exposing yourself to directional moves for long but not long enough (years or decades) you’ll get smashed soon enough.

im sorry but you dont get to inject trillions of dollars into a dying economy during the worst medical psyop in human history, then immediately afterward bride voters with trillions again, while barely touching interest rates. attempt to keep the entire shitshow going with bread and circus tricks, no sorry you dont get to walk away from that situation.

It broke out of a downward channel that it had been in for a week, so ordinarily I'd say, probably breaks through that level.

Thing is tho, there are so many games being played in the FX markets to try to crush oil and manage outcomes. BOJ, BOE, BOC, FED/Treasury, they're all working together on this shit. It's completely controlled and impossible to be sure what the end-game is going to be. Difficult to believe the Fed really wants DXY 150, but if they think they can suppress vol and keep stock losses contained maybe they do.

Big question is the yuropeens. IDK wtf the ECB is doing in all this. It sure looks like the Fed is basically trying to rip the European union apart. Ukraine business was supposed to be about fracturing and regime-changing Russia to use them against China. Instead it looks like yurop is going to suffer that outcome. It's like the US handed them a gun and ordered them to shoot themselves in the head, and they didn't want to offend us so they did. Just remarkable.

They were integrating with Russia to try to prevent conflict. Germans knew the US has been trying to get rid of Putin for decades. They want those juicy commodities nice and cheap and priced in dollars, and a US controlled puppet regime putting missiles and troops on China's western borders. That's been the "big plan" literally since the 90s. In retrospect, it was a dumb plan, but that's what it was.

Anyway, bigger question is why on earth did they go along with sanctioning Russia. They really really really should have called out the bullshit and told Zelensky, "tough luck m8,
you should make a deal with putler, cuz we're gonna keep buying the gas".

What are the best way to structure black Swan puts?

I do something like selling puts short dated and much lower, buying many more long dated ones way otm, and holding a positive theta harvesting, but having negative delta with shorts factored in. Seems good if we bleed out over many months or have an extreme drop. Worst case is only a big run higher quickly in short term. Also do long/short positions

>A futures contract is a legal agreement to buy or sell a particular commodity asset, or security at a predetermined price at a specified time in the future. Futures contracts are standardized for quality and quantity to facilitate trading on a futures exchange.
You're wrong and your analogy doesn't make sense. The contract is an obligation to pay at a predetermined price (while options are the right but not the obligation) which is primarily found in commodity markets.

I don't have a clue why you're trying to over complicate it with an analogy. If you know what options are then you know what a future is with an exception. That's it.
