im doing my maths degree now and i dont see how its going to get me a job. I mean, i know its a meme that i will but i cant imagine any career where im going to be doing what i do now. Is it just that the degree is a measurement of my intelligence and theyre going to train me how to work or will my 4th year actually teach me practical skills? (it seems like the longer this goes on the less practical they become)

yes, I worked with a MSc Mathematics from a top uk uni. They started working as a programmer for the large investment bank I was working at. They literally had 0 experience with coding and they hired her anyway, turns out they learnt pretty quick.
