And I doubt JP Morgan isn't in contact with the US federal government daily considering JP 90 years ago basically covered the US debt and bought the government, essentially. The systems that exist to scalp pennies at a time on trades millions of times a minute can be programmed to buy at support levels and sell at resistance, this is a basic fact. If you've noticed what is essentially "crabbing" , you've seen bots programmed to buy and maintaine support and resistance. These systems prop up markets and drive them down when data is too devastating to ignore, as was the case in april/march. We're in a politically necessary recovery here and I doubt heavily the market will be allowed to go down until biden either dies or loses an election. You could just short retarded biomed pumps to make money but keep fighting a politically motivated market.

I'm not a bear or bull on this market and heavily prefer crabbing, safe markets with an upward trend instead of the whipsaw into crab we've been experiencing lately because I like covered calls and cash secured puts when i do enter positions in the market. I do a combo order where I set a limit for the spread to fill, 5 spreads at a time.
So on a 2.5 I go for paying between 1.0 &1.25 on a debit spread or receiving -1.25&-1.50 on a credit spread.
That way the most I can lose is 100% and most I can gain is 100-125%.
By cutting losers early like I’m doing today, I’m losing 50% vs 100%.
Sometimes I do 2.5 bull spreads, sometimes I do 2.5 bear spreads like this week. NVDA tends to bounce around $5-$10 in a bank so saying it’s going to move $2.5 in a certain direction in one week is reasonable

That's way less degenerate than how I do it. I like to sell my 20 delta 30-45 DTE covered calls and then sell the equivalent 20 delta naked put against the covered call. Then I will use the cash + margin to go long calls on the weeklies for NVDA. May sell some naked calls and puts on the weeklies, looking to scalp $10-50 a trade. And I use some indicators for my entry points. Have found that by being patient and leaving enough margin and always playing 1 to 4 weeks out, I have enough time and margin to make sure I am right most of the time.
