Planning on pursuing an undergraduate finance degree. I dont know shit about money and finance, but im decent at math. Is it a good decision? What other business degree should I go for otherwise?

study accounting. finance is a meme and you'll have a much harder time finding a job.

meme. you need to learn hard skills. finance teaches you hard skills but getting an entry level job in "finance" (realistically corporate fp&a) is very competitive. accounting teaches you hard skills and it's much easier to find a job. big 4 public accounting is wageslavery but it's a great way to get a lost of experience very quickly. if you don't want to be a wageslave, get a staff accountant jobs at a large corporation and network your way into FP&A after 1-3 years.

do accounting, you can usually pivot to finance after a few years and there are more accounting jobs

finance jobs have more competition and you can't pivot to accounting to get a job if you need one

If you are good at math a finance degree is very universal. on advice from an old boss i chose to get a finance degree when i went back to school rather than a business degree or some other specialized comsci or other degree. reason (my old bosses words): "get a finance degree, you can get a job at any company in any field that interests you because the numbers drive EVERYTHING." i've held director of finance, operations manager, national sales manager titles at various companies. the duties are the same, look for trends, identify problems, fix them. am doing good at current job making 86k in rural america and am first in line for CEO title when owner retires. it's a good degree and very universal, go for it.

i have a "business management" degree. it's pretty gay. the only business degrees should be accounting and finance, and then perhaps business+quantitative analysis degree.
some will argue accounting>finance, which is probably true. an accountant prepares the documents that someone in finance will analyze, but accountants can do everything someone in finance can do and more.

I would say no. I have a BS in Finance, and we did do a fair amount coursework on stock valuation, company valuation, general accounting, and banking, however it isn't solely about stock price and there certainly wasn't any focused curriculum on trading or investing. in order to manage other people's finances you have to pass additional exams, i think the series 6 is one of them to be able to invest other people's money.

Accounting or an engineering degree to get your mind disciplined and being able to think orderly.
And you NEED to teach yourself classical philosophy in your freetime. That part is absolutly IMPERATIVE but you will not be able to learn or study it in a meaningful way in a university. Maybe your local seminary (yes the place where priests go) or a similar conservative APOSTOLIC (catholic or orthodox or similar) religious place is offering additional courses or talks you can visit in your free time as those institutions tended to be the keepers of that traditional knowledge throughout the backdrop of the falling Roman empire.

If you want you can participate in Model United Nations for the lulz to learn how leftists think and act and how their istitutions work.

depends on what you want to do. if you want to go heavy math in conjunction w/ finance, you're better off going w/ a stats degree, engineering degree, comp sci degree, w/ a finance minor.

If you want to do sales, finance alone is fine. My understanding is STEM grads outcompete finance grads on analysis work. But sell side, like client facing or M&A is more pure finance. Soft skills are underrated, and anyone who tells you otherwise is a sperg.

But if you are a sperg and want a sperg finance position, aka quant, go for a math intensive degree.

I dunno. I'm not some international relations guy.

But I guess from my limited time on this earth and narrow perspective, there are 2 things that govern this world: money and relationships.

You want to save your shithole country, your shithole country needs money. You want to save your shithole country, you need people, and people are governed by relationships.

Maybe a more general pursuit, finance, would be good for you. Probably economics as well. Teaches you how money flows. But a country is made of people, which means you need to be good at interacting with them. I dunno what degree can possibly help you with that. You'd be better off working sales and/or working for a local politician to learn the ropes.

I feel like a weathered old man even though I'm in my 30s. I just want my slice of the pie so I can take care of my family, and I want to understand the markets which are so intricately intertwined with politics.. studying the markets, in my limited experience, is akin to the study of politics without the bullshit fluff they sell. Ideals don't mean shit if you can't participate in the world economy.

I dunno what to tell you man. I suppose I fancied myself a bit of a populist. But to be honest, I just don't see it going anywhere in the US, my home country. The powers that be are too entrenched.

That said, I've made some decent coin guessing where those powers are pushing their money. And that's why it's important to understand how money flows. For instance, the fractional reserve system prints more money during periods of low interest rates via lending. Money is lent into existence, it's not the Fed that prints it. The Fed is more of an enabler. The other method of printing is Treasury spending, which is governed by politicians. So when the politicians pass a bill saying they are going to fund green energy, money is literally being created to be thrown at electric vehicles, solar panels, maybe nuclear if the green faggots have a hint of sense or common decency. When they declare a public health emergency, it means money is going to be funneled into big pharma and vax/treatment creators. When they pass legislation for CBDCs it means they're going to chase down competitors but fund specific blockchain sectors: stakeholder platforms, oracles, digital ID systems.

So when I say you want to understand how money flows, that's what I mean. The game mechanics.

If you're talking "pockets of resistance" I would call you naïve. Just look at the players and place your bets.

>> No.51082857

>>51081184
You should expand your definition of "Jews." pol takes things too literally.

The smallhats don't have a monopoly on power, usury, and nepotism. And while there are very powerful traditional Jews, there are also white Jews, brown Jews, Yellow Jews, and Black Jews. Propaganda goes both ways, and while the specific tribe we're talking about is very loud and obnoxious, there are other tribes warring for power. I'm more concerned about specific families than entire tribes. Imo most of the Jews aren't affluent, there's a small fraction of them that are. The standard Jews are basically house niggers at best, and most have their own personal hopes and dreams as well.

While some of their historical contributions as a tribe have altered history for the worse, the sons and daughters of Jews today are no more responsible for usury than the sons and daughters of Whites are for colonization.

Maybe that's just me getting soft. Just consider that dogma is very rigid and prone to assumptions of faith instead of truth.
