Why is it going down? Also anyone noticed Brave spamming their services VPN, wallet, search, 24/7? I love it. People who aren't opted into ads still get the new tab ads right? I'm STILL hopeful for the wallet to take off but it would be nice to be able to directly by BNB from it on mobile. I wanted to buy some dog with a BAT because I keep seeing their threads since BAT is filters to the top and all I could buy through Wyre or w/e was BTC, ETH, and stable coins. I don't feel like jumping through extra hoops so yet again I didn't use the Brave wallet on android. IMO they really need that if they want to attract new shitcoin casino users next bullrun. The BAT SDK has been shelved for quite a while. I don't think anyone suspected it was coming soon or even ever. The last times it was really mentioned was during the ICO era. I think a lot of people might be getting it confused with the BAT SKU system which has a similar name. In a sense they both do similar things, but the SDK is basically a fully wide open implementation of the BAT rewards program whereas the SKU is more of a payment system. The complexity and safety between the two is enormous.

Although it's a little boring sometimes because honestly what change happens in 1 week. Also they would probably shut Luke up on twitter about $bat which he spams constantly as if he were trying to pump his bags. I'm willing to bet many Brave employees have decent BAT stacks.
My impression is sometimes they're off the mark with execution and a few months too late sometimes to catch major hype but the keep building a solid project. Not sure why they didn't do the sdk or self serve but maybe they just don't have enough employees or other things are higher priority.

The issue right now is that they are trying to get to profitability ASAP with the userbase they currently have. Its also a matter of having too many cooks in the kitchen. You can't really hire 100 people to just go apeshit on the ad side of things. What they can do is have 5-6 people each working on individual projects. There are going to be people that never use the news reader, there are going to be people that never use the VPN, there are people that are never going to use the wallet, etc etc. However there are going to be users that might use just one or two of those products and not the others.

At the end of the day their real bread and butter is BAT. Even if they had 3B users the real money is in BAT. Those other products are just to extend their runway further and to offer options. It might look like BAT has taken a backseat, but they are just trying to get revenue flowing ASAP. I imagine Brave is going pretty hard with the search side of things. If they can get an ad partner for the search engine inventory then they are looking at a serious money truck. Their ad suite will finally encompass the top of the funnel all the way to the bottom. Hopefully from there they would be flush with cash and can heavily advertise until they have surplus inventory and can offer self serve ads.

Basically some people think everything is over because self serve ads arent here yet. The reality is that you are basically looking at having several hundreds of large clients or hundreds of thousands of small clients. You would make the same amount of money with either, but one would take up a lot more resources/time. There will hopefully be a time where there will be both, but in the meantime a search ad partner is probably one of the bigger things that could happen in the near term and its much bigger than self serve.

I think in the beginning Brave probably didn't imagine themselves becoming a search engine company. I think them becoming one influences how they will see BAT. Since they still seem committed to it I believe BAT has a great future.
