I'm set to close on a place in 2 weeks. Is now a good time to buy a house? Locked in a 4.5% fixed interest rate.

I wanted to dump the money into BTC instead, but my family wants me out and I need more privacy.

>I'm set to close on a place in 2 weeks. Is now a good time to buy a house?
not in most markets, no, but i don't know the rents in fort wayne or anywhere else in indiana for that matter.
there's really no such thing as good or bad times when it comes to buying a house, there's only good or bad places. in some places, the timing is good, and in others it isn't. it's a function of demographics and of rents.
paying too close attention to the one financial crisis we have had over the past 80 years where you could have waited just a month or two and gotten a much better price is myopic. nationally prices are falling right now -- and you have to pay rent while you wait so like i said it's a function of rents -- but you will never benefit from waiting for a crash in home prices again. besides, you don't get a foreclosure. banks get them. they can sit on the inventory until prices come back.

Once you can afford a house Fritz, you will see right away just how important garage space is. Its not just for your cars. Bikes, tools, watertoys (boats / jetskis), etc.

Shit in my neighborhood, there is a private air strip and only half of the residents with hangars atttached to the runway use it for their planes. Most are car guys.

To be honest, a hangar is fucking awesome both in the winter and summer. You can hang out with friends with both doors open and get a cool breeze.

I'm a hobby pilot so I like that I can just hop in my plane from my house and travel around the country without any TSA niggers grabbing my crotch.

Also, when the real civil war comes, me and my family can get the fuck out of dodge while you Euro-bus niggers watch your wife and kids get raped by Muzzo's before they behead you.

They're almost all rich, upper-caste Indians migrating over because they're tired of dealing with lower-caste Indians. They've been moving here for at least the past 20 years, and if you look at race statistics they're currently the ethnic group that has the most wealth in America, even beating out jews.

>> No.50940967

>>50938715
Houston and New Orleans are not overpriced because what you save in sale price, you make up for in insurance. Both cities are in low lying areas near the coast, so you have to pay out the ass for things like flood insurance and windstorm insurance because if a hurricane comes you’re fucked. Hell, New Orleans just had a category 4 hurricane last year. Houston has severe weather flooding like twice a year. Don’t even get me started on property taxes. Cost of ownership is expensive there, don’t let the sale prices fool you.

Also niggers

A lot of fund managers, including one or two who manage trillion dollar portfolios, believe that we have already entered stagflation and that it will most likely last for 10 years, or upwards of 20 years in the worst case scenario.

The "don't worry, it will go back up soon" thing doesn't apply this round. Look at what happened to the Japanese housing market after the early 90s. It took top buyers 30 years just to break even. The opportunity cost for them was enormous
