Kind of new to crypto, and I know many of you oldfags have had your portfolio bleed out like stuck pig the last 8 months

how the fuck do you deal with that?

Develop mild sociopathic tendencies, learn to alienate yourself from the world and view it as an objective, systematic process and that the inhabitants as self interested rational actors that may have a skewed frame of reference resulting in what may seem to be irrational behaviour. Though you need to have some tether to humanity or you end up a bugman or Bateman.
>I'm not expecting to profiteer off the coming energy and financial crisis in europe this winter
>I'm looking at long term trends that will cause an increase in the prices of energy and food resources as the Ukrainian harvest doesn't make it to market and the fuel supply for most of Europe is cut off or greatly increased during a period of greater demand
Also don't stare at charts 24/7

don't fuck with leverage so your position cannot go to 0 and buy something which you can forget about for 10+ years & still make a profit.

Sure you can probably make much more profit by daytrading, unless you're a fuckwit, which 99% of people are - you and me included - and provide the 1% with aforementioned profit.

If it's just a drop in value, who cares? You still own the asset.

If it's a capital loss, well now you have tax write offs.

I tell myself I will have made profit in the future so long as I do not sell, and as every moment passes, that moment grows nearer.

Ultimately just buy stuff you believe in that you think will be worth more in the future and have a long term mindset. Eg you believe utility coins will have a use in the future so you buy them/DCA whatever, or you believe memecoins like DOGE will have another run sometime in the future so you buy that. Being right or wrong is irrelevant, its just that if you dont believe in what youre holding then you will panic sell/feel like shit when it drops.

Yes but most belive that there's people in charge that run everything and if they just removed them, or became them then things would be better. Most people belive that the world is chaotic because they cannot see the bigger picture and attribute opposition to themselves, their beliefs or groups as being consciously evil rather than a series of logical decisions being made by illogical creatures with limited scope, and that they too are to some extent an irrational, illogical, flawed being; incidental to the world around them and not the protagonist of their personal movie.

Accept that you can only move forwards. You cannot go back in time.

Now, you have a choice to make. Do you learn from your mistakes and use them as fuel to drive personal change and development, or do you sit and wallow in self-pity and "regret" as time marches by?

Also, out of interest, and if you want to share, what is in your portfolio and what percentage does each make up?

The energy issue is a nothing burger and will be forgotten about for the next doomsday market even. I swear if you visit biz once a month it’s a different world ending scenario each time.
