Now don't freak out, but I consider it a type of "mental illness" but its more like a chronic disease not that you are crazy.
We treat mental illness completely wrong. Its just like a physical illness, like when you have a cold or broken bone. You can heal and fix it or it can pass.
What you need to do is start changing your perspective little by little. Like giving your self compliments, or just smiling more. Don't force yourself to do things either. One thing I was doing was I would go out to events, but if I had a bad time at the event I would think "it was a waste of time" but this is wrong. Instead, I consider that going out had a greater chance of something good than if I had just stayed at home and did nothing.
You could also try drinking more water, making sure you get enough sleep, try focusing on exercises that you like instead of whatever you think you need to do. Learning something new can also help because its easy to see progress, and if you dont need to show off then there is no pressure, you can pick it up whenever or drop it.
If your finances are going bad, consider just walking away, or selling and buying stable stuff like Coke and McDonalds.
Anyways, my two cents. You gotta find what helps you. Build habits that reinforce yourself.

Can’t find the research but back testing show the best hedges in 2022 is individual stock put, follow far behind by index put and worst performer is vix calls

That being said, when people buy VIX calls they are making a bet that the volatility of volatility goes up, which VVIX ETF replicates. In other words the reason VVIX goes up is because people are buying OTM VIX calls (which inflates call IV).

So maybe I might buy VVIX instead.

VVIX would've been a good proxy play for VIX in all those times when VIX was below 19 and then suddenly went convex up to high 20's.

Good example is when the market peaked in Nov 2021 then fell in mid-late Nov 2021. That means that VIX and VVIX both went up, but, assuming you can't trade futures on VX, you were left with buying VIX calls. That would've sucked a bit since VIX calls are super expensive and decay quickly.

But VVIX stock would've been a nice proxy for the high bids on the 30 day forward of VX futures getting a fuck load of calls bought on them and buying VVIX stock would've been a nice VX proxy

So at the end of this bobo market may be buying VVIX is a nice play
