well the idea is that i expect a bull run in the next 3 years. if there is a confirmed bull run on the way i can put lump sum purchases. the rule regardless is the more spread out your DCA is the less you are impacted by the volatility (you also make less money than buying the bottom, but no one can time the bottom anyways)

DCA doesn't work in the short term nor the long term. it works for 6months to be the most profitable and even than falls short buy just originally buying in one day 1 by 1.5%.

Invest more early and less later if you want to DCA but overall its a stupid decision if you have the starting capital.

I wouldn't even spread it over one year in normal circumstances, but the economy being what it is right now I think it could be argued it will help mitigate a crash that many suspect will happen soon.
