I've personally known a ton of people that have been rejected for putting down fake companies, lying about working at one, or greatly exaggerating their involvement with one(3m internship as 1yr exp lmao). My god, I have never seen someone with such a wagie mindset on this board. Who even cares if you get rejected for lying on an application 90% of the time if 10% of the time they don't check and you make 50% more than you otherwise could?
By now, I lie on every application, sometimes it doesn't even make my resume look better. It's just to filter out any company that does their due dilligence. I've worked enough jobs with overbearing draconian HR departments and any job I work now needs to either be desperate enough to keep me despite my lies or lazy enough not to check.
