half and half. Thats what I do.
But 1oz of gold, but 1oz of gold worth of xmr.

You could get like 2 of those bars for $50k lol

both, I'd lean much heavier on gold, until monero is king, its gonna follow the trends of btc and the crypto market as a whole.

>> No.50829291

why does no one talk about xmr mining? are there asics or its all cpu? i know roi on cpu is crap but its still a good way to get xmr

>>50829291
Its not a great way to get xmr. Youre better off just buying it. I have 12 miners with 3900/3950's and make ~.03 xmr a day. ROI will be about 2 years. Most do it to help the network, getting xmr is just a bonus.

To help guide your decision making on which to buy, keep in mind, the inflation rate of monero is literally lower than that of gold. Demand for precious metals will probably cause humans to start mining asteroids or something in near future meaning gold’s inflationary rate will go up even more. Monero on the other hand will remain at a lower inflation rate than gold currently no matter what happens. That being said, I’m no financial advisor. Just because monero has these nifty traits gold doesn’t have doesn’t tell us for certain what’s gonna be the more valuable asset in the future.

>demand for gold will be so high it will incentivize the most ambitious and complex engineering endeavors in history
this is both bullish and the reason why people should value gold. we value gold, we invest in engineering and infrastructure to extract commodities. we end up with mars bases and more real wealth per capita. we value crypto, we end up with highly specialized number guessing chips and people competing in a zero sum game over a fixed supply of shares on a digital ledger.

>> No.50829711

if we have the technology to mine an entire asteroid so cheaply that it yields gold at $1/ton, humanity has won and you'll be flying around in a spaceship farming food on the moons of jupiter not giving a fuck if you're in the top 1%

>> No.50829848

The only way it would be worth it to mine gold from asteroids is if gold had already mooned and was like Rhodium. They won't be doing it for 2k/oz, they might go up there for 20k/oz though for example. Also, if they were mining something to bring back for profit, do you think they'd want the price of that thing to drop?

If 1 asteroid is all we need to occupy to get gold down to 1$/tonne then here’s where monero comes in. Inflation rate is still lower than gold. It will become the new gold at this time. You’ve entered a whole new dimension and alternate reality in economics once asteroid mining gives us all the precious metals we need. Digital currency with the right amount of digital scarcity will become much more valuable.

I would buy gold for sure. Solar flares are 100% coming and will knock out all electricity therefore no crypto lmfao. Pm chads we up!

we're never gonna get around to mining asteroids as long as ESG investing and digital currency bubbles stick around anyways

This would cause gold to moon. The only reason we don't coat literally coat everything in gold is because it's scare. A quadrillon ton gold deposit would cause demand to skyrocket to do all kinds of innovative/retarded things, and since we can only mine but so fast would cause the price to skyrocket (along with just about every other commodity involved in mining)

I have some gold because I find the shiny aesthetic and rich history appealing. But it's only 2% of my networth because I know there's no way in hell a 10 trillion dollar asset is gonna pull a 20x in a year. Monero on the other hand..
