There's actually some people saying that we might still get a high print. Also, even if it's a low print we still have 9% inflation. The market may be a bunch of retarded goldfish floating from one number to the next but I know where I want my money.

starting in april biden started to release 1M barrels a day from the strategic supply reserve. as of october those barrels are gone. they've unloaded at least a quarter of the nations reserves to try and ease supply side problems. this cannot last forever. when 7M/week in barrels turns into -2.3M/week (currently planning on buying back 60M of the 180M released) with a 9M spread it will have major impact on prices. bidens hope is that demand will subside going into the fall and he can benefit from the good news for mid terms. however with saudi having no spare capacity and oil companies avoiding capex like the plague, supply side issues will still exist.

Hello, im also quite young, 24 years old. The younger you are the higher risk tolerance but that also depends on net worth. Im perhaps to bullish on commodities, especially uranium. As Rick Rule says, either nuclear is turned on or the lights are turned off. We will see with EU and russia this winter, the rhetoric is not calming down, russian uranium/enrichment sanction soon? Of my net worth im perhaps 66% in energy and 45% in uranium.

Or buy one of the ETFs. URNM for example pays a 6% distribution to shareholders in December.

If you want to get additional exposure to explorers which are all gonna be either Canadian or Australian, probably better off getting an account on IBKR and buying directly on the TSXV and ASX as you will have better liquidity. Top Canadian explorers that have potential this run are Fission 3.0, Baselode Energy, Skyharbour Resources, CanAlaska Uranium, Standard Uranium. Top Australian are Bannerman, Paladin, Deep Yellow, and Elevate.

Additional uranium plays:

LEU for enrichment, which is starting to run hard right now as they've begun new contracting with utilities.
SMR for small modular reactors.

Uranium is the best commodity to invest in my opinion for a number of reasons

It's hated for one, nuclear energy is misunderstood and that means you are still very early. The sector is obscure and tiny, so money flows cause huge prices changes, this can be good for the longterm thesis but make sure you can stomach the drawdowns. There's also a ton of commodities with their own issues, like say oil and recessionary fears caused by an aggressive fed, SPR releases, spot market manipulation like gold and silver, over supplying by non disciplined companies etc. Uranium has none of these things really. The cost of uranium is tiny on utilities balance sheets, the lights will stay on during a recession, so no demand destruction or issues regarding interest rate hikes. The spot market is opaque and the one big player Sprott is buying up uranium. And there's a real deficit, in addition to future demand exploding higher due to the energy transition. It'll take 12-36 months though so plan accordingly.

I have an idea of what it is, probably the clay pottery, otherwise the codex piece. Either way mang I don’t plan to sell a single thing without it being checked 5x by various appraisers. I don’t know why you felt the need to get so upset. I don’t think I’ll be letting go of anything for 10 years anyways. I mentioned in my original thread I wasn’t going to sell the majority maybe a few things, like ivory (because I have dozens of pieces) and possibly the ivory encased items like my pipe or spinner. The hymn is special to me, never giving that up, and the codex is beautiful. The pottery was very unique and I wish to preserve all my items as best as I can.

You say it’s foolish not to pass down information, but that’s exactly what happened to me. My grandparents were wonderful people but no one in the family knows exactly how we got certain things, what they are, we’ve been given false info on certain things, stories don’t add up. My main focus in life is to create a family that is successful and my great great great grandchildren will never have to be poor or face extreme living conditions like I did as a child.

On ivory yeah I agree in time it’ll skyrocket, that embargo may be lifted. In my lifetime? I don’t know.

My family on my mom's side were mining contractors. Between 1860 and 1960 they owned houses in Denver, Breckenridge, Montezuma, Climax, Frisco, Dillon, Aspen, and Leadville Colorado that would now be worth over a hundred million dollars. The house in Breck or Aspen alone would be worth $20 million. But they didn't leave any of that to their kids, they "lost" it all. They didn't lose it, they sold it for $236 or whatever.

but they taught their kids the mining contracting business so even if I didn't inherit a $20 million dollar property in a Colorado ski town I can still go make a few million bucks in mining easy enough. And that's more valuable than whatever they might have passed down because I would've sold off their wealth just as fast as any kid would and then spent it on hookers and blow and wondered what the hell to do after.

save your inheritance if you can. Get a job. Support yourself if possible. Learn what it takes to make that kind of money. Yes, you WILL fail over and over. That's how it works.

>generational wealth is actually generational knowledge
100% agree with this statement.

But no sir, they were only millionaires because of their own parents inheritance. My grandparents did not contribute to any wealth in the family. My great grandfathers, on both sides, were the ones that built the wealth. My great grandfather on my grandpas side watched his father kill himself during the Great Depression, and then turned around and became a millionaire investor. My great grandfather, on my grandmothers side was a highly skilled man that achieved many thing, and also dabbled in sketchy activity. Both of these men have their children everything and every opportunity in life. All the items come from these two men, and they had insanely based taste, wish I could have met them.

since the 80's it's almost impossible since everyone is invested and markets are run by bots. You can still make a million or two over 50 years by dumping money tax free into index funds and etf's, but long gone are the days of a normal person getting insanely wealthy. Computerized arbitrage simply doesn't allow it at normal investment levels.

Antique Dealer here, Canadian issue silver medals (The British ones are the same just not silver)

If you have his paybook, a photo of him, a General Service pin or anything keep it with the Medals. Even his full name as it can be traced. Medals are as follows (left to right)

1. 1939-1945 Star
2. France and Germany Star
3. C.V.S.M. (Canadian Volunteer Service Medal)
4. 1939-1945 War Medal

The C.V.S.M. is missing a silver clasp that would go on the ribbon as he served overseas. Thanks for sharing and hope that helps a bit

>have any thoughts?

I responded to him, I posted and set up a cheap email account to contact but didn't get a response from him but someone else.

The antiques he has are a level I don't deal in because ivory is huge in the Asian market and requires a specialist, as does his art. The size of the piece, age/era, quality of carving, condition etc are all very important. Chinese generally prefer pieces carved in Chinese style, not a fan of Japanese items (I learned this randomly when researching Japanese Netsuke)

For the art it really takes a specialist as well, the main auction houses are who should be consulted and TIME SHOULD BE TAKEN to get the best possible returns. The idea is that each piece goes to a specialist auction.

Hope that helps a bit!

Not sure, they may be trying to float themselves along in the long term off drilling / exploration work at Brandywine. They are only bringing in one drill to do the basic amount of work possible, probably because thats all they can afford right now. Best bet is their trying to find a buyer for the property or someone to option it out to in exchange for quick cash. It will be interesting to see what they do with their results either way, Brandywine isnt a massive property, I will be watching to see what their step out holes look like.

Neat post before I head off, some different material than i normally post.

i totally agree, I think you nailed it right on the head. BH tried to be sneaky with ore sorting on their sampling permit and got into hot water, now their looking for a way to stay relevant. I am still not sure why they havent shipped concentrates yet, other than they never actually made any, the market isnt the best right now to sell but any cash flow looks better than none, especially right now when they have trouble generating any good news.

FYI, might have some really neat mineral shots tomorrow or soon depending on how long Iron Out acid takes to clean a chunk or two.

Its really hard to tell if the other black mineral with the Goethite is Sphalerite or not, i might try a few tests to double check, there were very obvious crystals of sphalerite on another sample but it might not be present here. I have no idea what that big black tabular impression was / is. It may be a left over from a pyrite cube that grew but everything is extremely weathered and its hard to ID a lot of what came off the mountain.

Lurk moar before you do anything or you're probably going to lose money fast especially if you're not used to commodity volatility. Read over the past few threads. There has been a lot of discussion recently over the short and long term expectations of things like oil and gold. Some things are a good buy right now and some aren't.

e.g. Personally I'm incredibly bullish on oil over the next decade but incredibly bearish over the next month or so so don't just blindly buy into tickers right now. Lurk, read, and lurk some moar.

Go back via the OP and read the last 3 threads. There will be enough tickers mentioned to keep you busy for days or even weeks researching and the posts will have way more in-depth information in them than I'm prepared to write out right now. Hell even though this thread is a shitshow there are still tickers that have been mentioned you can look into if you read it.

Was this not obvious a long time ago? With the claims of the highest grade silver ore, why would they need an ore sorter? With all the claims of the massive high grade silver ore and they don't need a drilling program to delineate, but then they start a small coring program that shows bad results. Then Graeme claims "looky here we found all this already mined ore just sitting there and all we need to do is sort it" (Graeme pulled the same shit with Kent). All attempts to get around the production limits. All the photo ops standing next to bags ore, just bags of more shares for dilution. All this was pointed out years ago during the massive retarded pumping here. The faked technical drawings, the bs tables, the endless spamming of the retarded talking points ruined every thread.

>Youre having a misunderstanding regarding the fundamental nature of not only stocks but the Lassonde curve.

I mean, it's an early stage exploration company with stellar results, it's a great time on the Lassonde curve to own a stock like this. I don't think the stock will fall as much as most stocks would on news after a run up, because the news is most likely going to be extremely positive and there will be a lot of buzz about calculating how many ounces in the deposit, likely well over 10 million just for Valley alone. It could just go up to 3.50-4 before consolidating for a while. There's a lot of strong hands in this one.

>> No.50831405

47 million ounces of gold x $1800= 84 billion 600 million dollars worth of gold in the ground. Subtract a third from the $600 operating cost and that's 54 billion dollars worth of gold JUST at today's price. Now imagine if gold goes to 10k. The entire market cap is 1billion. Like this anon said, is there no catch?? Because just by numbers we should all be putting the house into this.

nothing other than Seabridge has to find a buyer / partners to bring the project to market. Their building access roads right now and a camp on site below the future minesite, the catch now is to wait for funding to build the mine proper. I firmly believe KSM is one of BCs future great mines, a project that builds multiple generations of careers and professionals in BCs north. Treaty Creek to the East and Brucejack between the two are also in the same category. The area is one of BCs last unopened treasure chests.

if it were up to me i would recommend to the investors to put up the money to build a town / community to support the three projects the way it was done up until the 70s. KSM, Brucejack and Treaty Creek will need thousands of workers, and not all of them like camp work. Two weeks in and out sucks, it would be better if a town were built close by to service the projects and to house the work force. A new mining Mecha in the BC coast mountains.

>the whole town will be a dudefest with prostitutes
worked for Kitamat / Kamano, though I do agree it would be a challange to do a whole town today compared to even in the 1980s. Tumbler Ridge in BCs Northeast is a perfect example of a company built town thats survived extremely well even when coal died down for a while. If you have a project thats expected to last decades, miners will bring their families with them, they wont if they dont believe in the project themselves.

This is the time on the lassonde curve where you'd be looking at cashing out. This upcoming assay would be the "discovery" part of the first curve. Odds favor a correction but we'll see. I'm calling a correction after the results come out, within two weeks, and that being of course they are good results. If they crash on bad results that doesn't count.
