>held link in cold storage for half a decade
>still poor
At this point there’s no idea telling me to sell. I’m never selling. I’m holding purely out of indifference to whatever happens to my bags. I don’t care anymore. I have already suffered more than any sane person could ever tolerate.

The founder market dumps every month doesn’t he? Lol.

I know that feel. I used to get excited with every pump and depressed with every dump. Now even when LINK is performing well I just think “meh” and forget about it a few minutes later. The dump from $5 to under $2 hurt so much worse somehow than $50 to under $6. I have just accepted that those bags mean absolutely nothing until they make me stupid rich.

Finite total supply that is rapidly approaching total circulation. Used as collateral to secure a network that, by ETHs own admission, is going to be taking over core functions of ETH post merge. Their target market is global tradfi derivatives and insurance. Let that sink in.

For me, mentally, it did. After being through all that demoralization and all the ups and downs, i was expecting it to hit $3 and i was at peace with never selling even if it went lower. $5 to $1.50 felt like it was going to be the end for ChainLink. Like maybe it was all just a scam, but at this point the fundamentals are established enough that its only a matter of time, and dumps just mean its going to take more of it. Which definitely sucks, but letting it affect my life seems kinda silly. When it happens it happens.

The difference there was there was a clear and obvious expectation that we would be going generally upwards. It was the come up, and there was something to hope for. There weren't HR trannies, there weren't bog standard norman with a PhD in twitter from some fag university trying to shoehorn memes and community they have no understanding of into a brand.
Idk bro. As the NYT said, Chainlink is in a vibe-cession. At least then the vibes were bussin.

This is a very childish mentality to have. If you are of the opinion that an investment becomes bad as soon as its no longer a secret club then you are going to miss the true adoption cycle of crypto. You think replacing the global financial system so that every normie and their grandmother uses it(whether they are aware of it or not) is something you want to avoid from an investment standpoint? Yes, classically thats how crypto worked. Dumping on the heads of normans for laughs. But what happens when it becomes a serious industry? You think JP Morgan is going to lose money buying your bags?

>i trust the New York Times for financial advice
This is the absolute best way to avoid making money. If that statement was not a fact, every normie would own multiple yachts.

historically when have financial institutions ever fucked up? Crypto companies fuck up all the time because they're full of amateurs (see Luna, 3AC etc) whereas traditional financial companies have the smartest minds behind them.

The Fiat system is dying and wiping the slate clean and starting a new fiat system isn't going to happen. The only thing, and the obvious thing, is to go with Bitcoin. Oh sure, cbdcs will have their place and they can then just keep inflating the supply and moving the decimal point along, but it needs to be backed by something or the rich won't stay rich.
This is absolutely going to be "the greatest wealth transfer in history" and many will rope for refusing to get on the bus.
t. I hold Link, BTC and ETH
