I am seeking clarification on when and how a crypto asset is allowed to be mentioned here. In the past I have mentioned new assets (which went on to becoming very successful) but was banned for it.

I want to prevent that from happening again, and follow the rules. Unfortunately there are no clear rules about this.

It seems almost any thread could be considered “advertising” because why would you ever mention a coin unless you already owned it in the first place?

If this is a crypto board, you would think we could mention various low marketcap coins we think are interesting, but that will absolutely catch you a ban for advertising.

So again, I ask, what are the rules? Does the coin have to have a certain marketcap? Because it seems some shitcoins just flood the board enough that mods give up. Meanwhile true gems stay hidden because those people excited about them all get banned.

We need some firm rules on how and when a crypto can be mentioned here without catching the ban hammer.

it's "advertising" unless the jannies hold the coin.

Reddit banned me for telling mods to go suck a dick, so now I have to sit here at this lunch table with you guys. From now on we are all going to put two spaces after the period and line breaks

Between our paragraphs. And you’re just gonna have to get used to that.

here, I'll tell you how the actual advertisers do it

one person makes a post mentioning a shitcoin, without saying anything about whether they think it's good or bad. then either their friend, or else themselves from another IP address makes a reply to that first post saying something like
>ah my fellow fagcoin connoisseur. I love its [feature X] and [feature Y]
repeat ad nauseam. e.g. a third IP could be used to say
>give me the fagcoinpill. why should I buy it?
and switch back to the second IP to reply, etc etc

this way you can talk about the coin you want people to buy and the reasons you think they should do so, all under the guise of "discussion" or "answering questions"

Thanks based anon. It’s just dumb that you have to jump through hoops like that. We’d do a lot better with clear cut rules like:
• coins need 1000 holders and a $10m marketcap to be mentioned here.
• one topic about a coin at a time.

Also it should be said that mods are thankfully starting to see through this shit. The BSV retards had their topic last night and we’re doing that same dumb shit, but we reported it and got it taken down. Big clues were that no fucking body wants to organically and unironically talk about BSV.
