Wagie here, I'm thinking about going for the 80 hour work week.
What does /biz/ think about working 80 hours a week (two full time jobs)? Any advice so I don't kms?

>> No.50764476

not worth, 80 hours in one hourly job is ok cause you get big overtime pay but if you are a salary cuck or working two different jobs just forget it

I work 40 hours currently making $31/h. Looking at amazon wagie side gig, 10 hours 4 days a week overnights making $18/h.
Thinking about the pay is great, but I would be at most getting 3 and a half hours of sleep on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, while getting full nights of sleep on Thursday and Friday. No work on Saturday, start waging again at 6pm on Sunday

>> No.50764606

>>50764500
How was your schedule? Did you work 7 days a week?

>> No.50764734

>>50764455

I've managed close to that since March 2020. I wouldn't recommend getting a second structured full time, but you can squeeze 40 hours of gig work in without losing your mind. The flexibility is what makes it sustainable.

I just pivot into delivering right after my office job. My commute is a goddamn hour with the traffic anyway, so I get to double up there. 8:30-5, then home by 9:30 after the dinner orders racks up 20 hours during the week, and then you can do the noon to midnight on weekends. That will get you to 80 if you really want it (without cutting corners on sleep). Keep a cooler with a week's worth of protein shakes and snacks in the car, otherwise you'll inevitably eat way too much fast food. Refresh and do meal prep weekly.

What's your goal in all this? Whatever it is, just keep it in mind and use it to motivate you. Socially speaking don't be afraid of taking time off if it's with other people. What I realized is that all I really wanted to do in my off time was to be away from others, and I can do that from my car.,

Just do dog walking/sitting or use food delivery apps on a bike/ebike. That way you only need to work as much as you feel like. I make about $25/hr delivering food on these apps with my ebike.

It sounds like you have a good schedule. I want more flexibility like that, but I don't know what kind of job will offer that.
Luckily I don't have to worry much about commuting, my current job has a shower in the bathroom, I'm planning on sleeping the 3 and a half hours in my car.
I recently moved back in with my parents due to losing my last job due to getting raided by the FBI and my face being plastered in the media everywhere. My goal is to make as much money as possible before potentially going to prison for Jan 6th stuff. Lawyers want about $10k - $15k, and that kind of money isn't easy for me, nor am I the kind of person to go into debt for anything.

>> No.50764875

>>50764592
Think about it from the perspective of being overtime then. You're basically working 40 hours overtime at your original job for half the pay. You'll burn out, have no free time, lose more money to taxes anyways and hate yourself a few months in.

>> No.50764880

>>50764455
If you're working that much you're basically garunteed to either burn out, or get stuck in a rut of only working those jobs full time without any room or flexibility to move onto something better.

Why not just rob shit? It's barely a misdemeanor in most states as long as it's in small amounts. Just grab some power tools and sell them to a pawn shop, or clothing you can sell vintage. You can clear a couple hundred in an afternoon of you play your cards right, and it's good exercise.

There are 168 hours in a week and only 35 are needed for sleep, why not try waging at 3 jobs at once? Maybe 40 hours full time and 20 hours part time. Even if going to jail and you need the money, 80+ hours a week is unsustainable.

Coworker of mine did two fulltime jobs. Often 80 to 90 hours a week with one week being about 110 hours. She did it for about five years somehow.

Barely had any sleep, house was a mess (I cleaned her dishes once as she needed help), she'd lash out a lot at the job she worked at, developed various health issue mentally and physically. I walked on eggshells constantly.

One day, our manager had enough of it and fired her as she was having an outburst.

She has since worked no more than 60 hours. Her regular full time job with retirement benefits and a part time job. Her mental and physical health have improved massively.

Especially if going before a judge and going into jail, you want to be as physically and mentally sound as possible. Being stressed out and saying/doing the wrong things can make things much worse.

Friend of mine spent two years in jail and by going in there without being stressed, he never made any waves, so was never targeted by anybody.

I did ~16 hours a day, 5 days a week for 3 months. I would sleep during lunch breaks sometimes. I had no time to do anything if I wanted good sleep outside of my offdays.

My advice is to maximize your free time. You need to have your two jobs as close as possible and run as consecutively as possible. You need to make sure you can get to the next job ASAP. The last thing you want is lots of downtime in-between, because it will not only not be enough to do anything, but also will cut into your continuous sleep time.
I didn't have things perfectly lined up and so I only got 2--5 hours + ~45 minutes a day.

>>50765903
Thanks for the advice. Stress is the one thing I fear most. I used to have a comfy job before I got fired, although I was only making $70k/y, it was a zero stress job and I made my own schedule. My life has turned upside down overnight, and I had to react as fast as I can and do what I can to stay above water financially.
Luckily, I have zero debt, 2 paid off cars and a good amount of precious metals / cryptocurrencies, so I'm not stressing to the point of make or break, but I do have an urge to gain as much money as possible in the time I have left.
I'm impressed that your coworker managed to do it for 5 years, that gives me some hope.

UberEATS, door dash, all the delivery shit. You missed the glorious $35/hr pandemic weekends, but most markets are still doing $25+ during dinner hours and weekends. Try it, and if it sucks you can drop it.

If you absolutely have to do something structured it wouldn't be terrible to wait tables or tend bar. Semi-social, move around a bit, collect tips.

Yeah, that's a common problem with autism. They only ever want to engage with things in their exact set of interests. Interestingly enough, they tend to follow computer instructions pretty well.

It's why I like delivering. Almost no other interaction with people, the AI overmind sends me offers and I choose what to take. You can do the entire job with an "I'm deaf" pin and just shove your phone in people's faces to get them to bring you the right order.

I'm facing prison time too but why the fuck would you voluntarily go? You've got six months, save up, find some remote work, and fuck off to Albania. I was lying low in Italy for a bit and you can literally just buy counterfeit euros from the mob for €200 a grand.

Were you one of those regards that stormed Capitol Hill?

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but you're going to be made an example of. You're probably a decent law abiding kind of guy, and you probably have some level of faith in the system, so it might be hard to comprehend, but they're going to steamroll you in court then fuck you in the ass with no lube.

You could have mugged an old lady and gotten a slap on the wrist but you went mad fucked with people in power.

Don't go out like a goy slaving for 80+ hours a week. Just get on a greyhound and head for Florida. It's unlikely you'll be extradited for misdemeanors, especially if you pick a political district that would make such an extradition politiclaly inconvenient. Once you've saved up ten grand, just find a remote job doing some bullshit for twenty hours a week and fuck off to Albania. You're welcome! Sucks about losing a decent job like that. Great that you don't have debt loading you down. That's compounding poverty you're avoiding.

If you do opt to work 80 hours a week, maybe cut down or quit one job a month before you need to leave the other one. This way you can make money (albeit less) and have recovery time for physical and mental health.

I'm surprised she did it as long as she did, so it's doable, just not sustainable.

If we don't have our health, then we don't have much as it keeps us from living our life to the fullest. Take care and good luck! If possible, I encourage you to use jail time in the best way you can. My friend turned to reading and playing a prison version of D&D with some inmates.

One last thing. Not sure if it applies, but ramen was an unofficial currency. Ramen and peanut butter were popular in his place. If your prison has a commissary, make sure you have money in it to buy extra items and food for use and trade. Not sure if you can place money in or need someone to do it for you.
