Anyone else realize inflation is a massive fucking nothingburger?

Annual expenses: $35,000
Annual Income after taxes: $75,000
Net profit: $40,000

Okay, now you have 10% inflation but only get le heckin 5% raise (that means you took a 5% paycut!!!!.)

Annual expenses: $38,500
Annual income after taxes: $78,750
Net profit: $40,250

All this time I never realized inflation was just a cover for low income losers to cry about their terrible jobs lmfao. Inflation is a massive nothingburger if you actually have a good job and aren’t a retard.

Who says you still have a job even?
>Inflation increases
>wages stay the same
>purchasing power decreases
>consoomers consoom less
>businesses sales and profits down
>labor cuts due to decreased demand
>price levels still increasing
>unemployment benefits and other free gibs don't cut it anymore
>you sink further and further into debt trying to stay afloat
>stock market keeps going up because entire economy is being propped up to keep the slaves slaving for the status quo
>poors really feeling the squeeze as hours are cut at work, a box of cheerios doubles in price from one week to the next, gas has tripled in a year, meat prices etc.

NGMI.
Hold out and undercut your peers. Then when your boss lays off 50% of the workforce (not including you because they think they're getting one over) and things begin to collapse from lack of manpower, demand a 300% raise to keep the ship afloat.

This sets the tone with your boss that they need to give you raises without you even asking or risk you pulling a trap card on them down the road. From there they'll either be stupid enough to let you pull that stunt again, or they'll preemptively give you 15% raises every year to stay on your good side.

Note: this only works if you are good at your job.

This has got to be a demoralization thread.
>Annual expenses: $35,000
Are you living with roomates? With parents? The average 1 bedroom apartment in my area is around $2,500 in BASE rent, which comes to $30k a year.

Just to live and scrape by your expenses will be around $40-45k.

Your income matches a good decent salary in my area, which means you're either living with roomates or you have a great paying job in a low cost area. Or you're working from home.

NO ONE can run from inflation, and no wages haven't been keeping up with it.

I find it interesting how many people are "making it" on biz, cutting their costs and not affected by the downward economy, and how everyone has a 7 inch penis. Fuck you.
