The more time goes by the more I worry about my vanguard shares. I only have about 25% of my shares there and the rest are DRSed, but ever since the split dividend shenanigans I dont feel like I can try even the top brokers with trillions of assets under management. I could easily see them selling them for "fair value" or some shit now that I know they are willing to break the rules this explicitly.

If an algorithm takes over, literal infinity. The short position is so massive they can't close it, and the game being played is well understood and people openly talk about "infinity pool". You may see a LOT of shares shake out in the low thousands as people lock in their millionaire status or w/e. But after that we are in uncharted territory.
My theory is a special algorithm is being written to make MOASS as drawn out and scary as possible. They need to shake people out, and they need to give people the illusion that the price cannot go much higher than several thousand dollars, and they want to give you "opportunities" to see for 15 thousand, and then the price per share drops to $3000 and crabs for literal MONTHS. People may start second guessing MOASS, and start kicking themselves that maybe they missed it. And maybe the price jumps to $7000 for a day and then craters, giving you the illusion that you missed it again. And AGAIN, you have to sit and wait for months.
This sounds ridiculous, but the concept of "infinity squeeze" and "MOASS" is going to have a LOT of the best and brightest minds working to minimize the damage. We need to be ready for everything, because MOASS is probably going to unfold in ways that seem obvious when you understand that it is not just going to be like a dam bursting. This is not just SHFs that are at risk, but all the way to the DTCC and Fed.
